Things just started getting serious Will be after Ford fair it gets fitted though. Just need to buy some rs injectors and all is ready to play

ok so here it is. a bigish update as ive missed a fair bit over these last few weeks. ok so first of all. boost pipes and remainder of coolant pipes fitted. i was sent the wrong cold side intercooler pipe so that one wasnt done. i have since been sent the correct one but not fitted yet and i was sent some autospecialists stickers for the inconvenience few pics when out and about also been busy finishing the engine cover and slam panel cover idiot me put the angel wings upside down but i wasn't happy with the colour scheme the engine cover turned out and ive sanded it down again lol. ive decided to do it all white and just paint the letters (still in progress). correct push start gel badge finally came as i previously mentioned i was having boost issues again and i had the actuator replaced with a turbo smart and boy oh boy did it make a difference. the car actually scared me driving it home as i didn't expect so much a difference. 22psi peek and holding 20psi of boost. but no wonder my old actuator was playing up...... then came to removing the tint film i had on one fog as a taster and to spray tint them for a better finish. they have a nice effect when they are on now. they where a dull yellow (obviously just the bulbs that are in there) but since tinting have such a nice mad colour output (like a blue white purple effect). then i proceeded on colour coding the fog rings then had a crazy idea to use the rest of my tint spray on something that is a bit of an eye sore in the engine bay.... if it didnt pay off i would have bought a cover anyways or replaced with an alloy one but still. turned out quite well not so much of an eye sore now and a couple of pics from Saturdays meet the purple one is the one i bought my plenum off and which im buying the hybrid turbo off. the purple st is running close to 500bhp and really sounds immense. and thats it for now.... ohhh wait no its not... im sure theres something else... oh yeah, the MINI project i mentioned well me and the missus are getting married in September and she came up with this idea for a wedding cake topper. so ill let the pics do the talking first and then i will explain. standard reg plates roof and bonnet stripes removed alloys and a comparison i have some tint film i need to apply and also ordered some mini decals for the windows lol the idea is to have a replica of my car on the cake with the bride dragging the groom away from it and a few mini tools scattered about etc. you may have seen the escort cosworth one on google images before... the missus swears she never seen it and thought of the idea herself. either way it should look good and im trying to do the best replica i can. i will be bringing this to ford fair too and display on my dash. thats it for now. we are up to date. next update will either be engine covers or the hybrid install

Ok so I really need to do an update with pics lol. I'll get round to it soon but anyways just a quick notification.... I'm buying a hybrid turbo with rs turbo internals and bigger billet wheel. Will be around 370bhp and about 485lbft Can't wait

All the pipes are done now, been done over a week now and looks great. I'll get pics up later. Engine covers have been flat sanded. Primed. And flat sanded again and now ready for paint So by the end of this 4 off work weather permitting the engine covers will be done been a long time coming but I'm happy with the outcome so far. Car has an issue at the min tho. She is loosing boost. Not good. Especially with this rolling quickly coming up on the 27th. Luckily though I have her booked into demon performance centre for a turbosmart actuator upgrade and that's just 2 days before the rolling road so hopefully that sorts it. Some mods may come along slow now though as we have booked a wedding so the missus says that's more important than modding the car haha. Speaking of the wedding though I have a nice thing to show you all. Just a project at the moment but so far so good I will uploads pics later on today.

AS have said to send back the cold side pipe and they will send the replacement not all bad then. I can still fit the rest tomorrow. Loads of work on the car tomorrow then weather permitted. Going to fit the boost hoses. Alloy rad. And the coolant hoses I didn't manage to fit last time. So loads of fun and pics to be had tomorrow

Boost hoses came today and I'm gonna have to send em back I asked for symposer delete but it has the synopses hose on it bit of a bummer as I wanted to fit the kit on my next 4 off (last day in work tomorrow) but now gonna have to wait until the following 4 off. My gel badge push start still not arrived either yet On the plus side cars still running fine where the maf is concerned

Yeah there is that with it behind the bumper. But then in the bay there's heat soak... I will have to see if I can find a heat shield of some sort. Back in work tomorrow but hopefully the boost hoses arrive tomorrow or Thursday or any time berfore my next 4 off work lol but will have a busy day on the car then. Will be fitting the boost hoses. The alloy rad and the rest of the coolant hoses I never got round to fitting and hopefully get more painting done.

Some more pics. First off is I drove the car the other night for the first time at night with the new knobs and they do look quite good at night. And today started painting slam panel cover. Did 2 coats and ran out of paint :/ thought I had loads left. Oh well will buy some more tomorrow. Also an update on my maf situation. Drove to Wales and back today and to Crewe and back and still no smell of fuel or eml and my mpg has vastly improved. I was averaging mid 30's mpg overall today and I wasn't going easy as the car just feels more responsive and feels like a massive power gain. Knew it wasn't performing as well lately but didn't realise until today just how bad it was. The power is immense again. Even the missus noticed how well it was pulling again.

A very busy day today and all so far so good. Car has been chucking maf code up for a while now. Partly when I fitted my down pipe I also fitted a lambder 90° spacer to my decat (which stopped decat light coming on. But the maf light has come on more frequent since I extended the induction kit to behind the bumper. So today I removed the lambda spacer, and also moved my induction back to a group A setup. I also had to cut an alloy pipe so it was shorter and cut a silicone hose shorter too and put them between the maf sensor and the 90° bend so there's a smoother flow of air going past the maf. Engine bay looks better again with filter in the bay, fills up a big space. Carbon in the lambda spacer which I was told can cause problems. My remap deleted the lambda code anyway so it's not needed no more. And how my induction looks now. Along with the straight custom bit in front of maf And so far it does seem to have eliminated a flat spot I was getting and no more smell of overfueling and my mpg took a big step for the better. I've only nipped out in it to McDonald's tho haha. Also today I got into primering the big part of the engine cover and the slam pannel cover. I'm still yet to sand the small part of the engine cover. But so far so good again. No reactions this time Before primer After plastic primer And also I've ordered some blue boost hoses. Should look nice and upgrade the standard ones that look a bit corroded And to finish the day off a nice closure pic for the update. Shame car wasn't washed before it as would have made a pretty decent pic.

Well my push start gel badge came today. But unfortunately they sent me the wrong one. Not the design I made. Still looks good tho.

Ok so loads of pics from today's llangollen st-oc meet which I organise. An excellent turn out this month. The numbers are growing. Pics are taken by me and other members that showed up. Also I got a bargain purchase when up there. Not something I need but an upgrade never the less. It's an alloy radiator. Worth £200 and I got it off another st member brand new for the bargain price of £40. Caching $$££!!!

Couple of interior mods due now. Only small touches.I'm waiting on a custom push start button I ordered last week and now I've also ordered some heater knobs

Tint film arrived Monday. I tested fitted it to one fog light. Took 3 layers of film to achieve the darkness and colour I wanted but what do I expect for £1.50 lol. But it looks good. So I will be buying some blue tint spray and do it that way.

The pics just after I started sanding. Finally down to seeing the plastic now. So if the weather is good I will get the primer on next weekend

Well lastnight when I finished work thought I'd get the oil and filter change done. I'll let the pics speak for themselves but let's just say the filter has been well used as well as the oil. It was supposed to of had a service last year when I bought it but to me looks like that wasn't the case. It's my first turbo car so I may be wrong however every other car I've had the filter has never been so bad and the oil never been so black. Lastnight I only managed to put a 4ltr bottle in as it got too dark but just topped it up this morning so hopefully she will feel a load better when I take her out

Ordered some cheap blue headlight film to use on my fog lights. Only cost like 2 quid so if I don't like I won't be fussed too much. But if I do like it but the film rubbish I'll spend more on sum. If I do like and turns out ok then win win Going to colour code the chrome fog rings at some point too. I've got a long list ready for Ford fair on things to do lol.
