  1. i have also found a slight oil leak under the MA, i dont know if its the sump gasket or something else around the pully any ideas people? im going to change the sump gasket when i do the oil service anyway.
  2. i put my mugen sunstrip on my MA today looks well nice i think, was a pain to start with but went on perfect in the end
  3. I'm still going to give fitting the vtis lip kit a go, I'm not scared of challenges, behind my front bumper is the mounting lights where the fogs should go but its capped off with plastic which is easy to cut out. I have also found 3 pin box connection on each side around the headlamp area, are these the fog light connectors?
  4. Thanks mate that front lip looks sweet on that blue MA, going to get one for mine now I know its possible to fit a VTi S front lip on mine, what about front fog lights will MB2 ones fit MA8 cheers
  5. Yes mate the back box is a universal 5" I fitted it myself all you have to do is unbolt the OEM one 2x bolts and there was 3 brackets on mine, it wasn't as easy to fit as they made out on the website, I had to buy another fitting kit and 2x more clamps. But I strongly suggest that you do get it welded up to seal it and make it secure, I did
  6. Ahh that's good to know as my rear windows are manual might aswell grab the leather seats aswell :)
  7. I did like the EP alloys in silver, but i have always preferd black alloys on a dark car, as for the colour of the car I love it because its different, and I have never seen one the same as mine
  8. I would like to know if ZS door cards fit my MA8 as I want to update the interior abit
  9. You have to upload them on photobucket first mate
  10. Ahh so that's what the original one looks like, I think its going to be hard to find these in the breakers yard, will Honda sell these? Cheers for your help mate
  11. I would like to know what lip kits fit my civic MA8 as I don't want to go out and buy the wrong one :/
  12. Cheers mate there a lot better than them cheep fox ones and they have 4 brand new tyres
  13. My back box, zennon bulbs and mugen badge arrived the other day so i put them on streight away, the cars looking good now but i am nowhere near finished yet let me know what you think of how its going so far people more pictures and info will follow soon just a bit busy at the moment, thanks for looking
  14. i sprayed the fox alloys black but i didnt like them as they were heavy so i brought some EP alloys off a Type s
  15. as i said i still wasnt happy with how the grille looked so i decided to remove it completely and mesh it instead of spraying it black like everyone else does, and i also resprayed the front bumper to a dark silver so it looks nice when i get the bonnet carbon wrapped and i added some rover 45 side indicators as the orange honda ones are ugly.
  16. i had to sort the back end out so i went to my local breakers yard and picked up some light clusters off an MB, and also brought a spoiler not long to fit just drill out the circles in the boot lid and wire up the light to where the high level break light connection runs too.
  17. i sorted the front end out but i still wasn't happy with how the front grille looked (soon to be changed), i also brought some new 16" fox alloys
  18. The front end looked a bit worse for wear i dont know how someone can drive around with it red/silver, i had to get on it streight away
  19. i think its time to start my project thread i brought my civic MA8 1.4is in february its my first car! I chose the 1.4 because of the low insurance group as I'm 21 (but ended up being over 3K!!) I have always loved these civics, I was looking for one for a while in a good colour, but I found this one in a rare colour (Phantom Grey) and i picked it up for a price I couldn't refuse with a bit of tax and mot the car is mechanically sound but the previous owner didn't look after the body work to well but the old civic is in good hands now and will be forever as I'm never geting rid of her, I am going to be doing a fair bit of work on her from the ground up with an engine conversion coming at some point.. I've settled for a (D16w4 it's the same as the Y8 and Y2) but the engine is now fitted, I will turbo it soon This is how the car looked when i brought it
  20. Umm I think I might need new plugs because my MA8 hezitates a little. Through the rev range, I can notice she aint pullin like she should at the moment
  21. I took the wheel off and it looked egg shaped lol, I put the spare on then went to my local breakers yard and picked up some nice 8 spoke honda alloys off an ep the car drives perfect again now, but going to get the tracking sorted tomoz
  22. I'm going to slap the spare wheel on and see if she still wobbles, fingers crossed its just a knackerd rim, good job that I'm going to buy a new set, I know it would have knocked the tracking out but aslong as nothing else is bent its ok, ill post back how she drives soon. :/
  23. Basically I came round a left bend at 30mph and some idiot was driving on the wrong side of the road so I swerved and hit the drivers side front wheel, there's a big chunk taken out of the alloy, but it doesn't look like its done any damage to suspension etc... But when I drive it seems like its on a flat tyre and the car shakes/wobbles could this be a bent rim?
  24. I need some help on fitting fog lamps on my civic MA8, basically I have looked behind the front bumper of my civic and I can see the mounting holes for the fog lamps, and where they should be its been capped off with plastic wich is easy to cut out that's no problem, But I've looked for wires for the fog lamps (as my car didn't have them as standard) and all I can find is a 3 pin box connector on each side, are these the right wires? And will the original fog lamp switch off another civic work on mine? Thanks
  25. Ahh ok mate I might aswell go for a subaru one then and get it made to fit.
