Worth cleaning out the PCV valve, if its blocked or the flap in it is seized it can cause blue smoke.

Project TDi Bora... Plastidip...eh yeah .... Dont do it

yeah thats how much it cost me, to go to vw at the time it was nearly £600, 10 years ago it was a lot of money compared to getting a cambelt done on a astra or focus. -

Nice motor, I had a Bora years ago, cracking cars but pricey for a cambelt service, mine took a vw specialist nearly a whole day. -
I agree, I have a Vti-s but I think when a Vti is low and has nice wheels its a better looking car than a Vti-s for some reason.

You will have less tyre roll with the 50 series tyres, as said above they are cheaper. Probably slightly less comfort. I took my 17's off and put 15" Speedline Chronos on with Kumho tyres on the front and they are not as grippy in the dry but are awesome in the wet compared to the 17's.

Nice motor you got yourself there James.
-
What did you buy James?

I get your reasons for thinking about getting one of these but I think you would regret selling your Civic after a while once the novelty wore off, to be honest its not my cup of tea, the one in the photo looks very bland to me and is not something I as a car enthusiast would ever aspire to own. To me you would be swapping a car that puts a smile on your face everytime you drive it for one that puts a smile on your face once a year when you tax it!.
-
do you not think its quicker with 15's though?, I find the 17's take the edge off the perfomance a bit.
-
Is Market Harborough too far for you Simpo?, theres a tidy looking Vti-s for sale there.

Looks decent in the photos, dont see many black Aerodecks.

I know hence i said some 80's coupes.
-
i dont hate them just not my thing.
-
Not just Skylines im not a coupe fan apart from the old school 70's stuff and some of the 80's ones like Starions and AE86 Corollas, i don't hate Skylines and i get why people are into them they just are not for me.
-
I didn't think you meant a golf, Skylines aren't my cup of tea.
-
I used to have a R reg Vti hatch with original sales invoice and im sure it was just shy of 16 grand.
-
me too, but i have 3 kids and the Zafira is functional and is free as its a motability car for my disabled daughter.
-
Is that because its not mat black with duct tape on the headlights?
-
You're not a big Vauxhall fan are you Tom!

I think the lighter more powerful EP3 will have the better power to weight ratio!
-
It will be wild with more power and that gearbox. ive been looking into turbo converions but getting it mapped is a problem in the north of scotland.
-
Ive never gone head to head with a EP3 but my mate had a shot of my MB6 and gave a Astra VXR a right run for its money on a dual carriageway, the astra just managed to get past but couldnt get away from my car.
-
This is a proper build, I would love to do something like this. What engine management were you running for the turbo conversion?.

Two tidy looking Vti-s posted for sale on the Civic5 facebook page yesterday.
