  1. Wow what a great job bringing that one back! Done a great job so far... Sits very nice too
  2. Yeah Paul is right in what he's saying. My uncle races a lot of 214/6's and concertos... Concertos he doesn't worry about but with the rovers he always makes sure they have the honda engine as the rover engine is prone to overheating and blowing gaskets etc! Saying that, the overheating is mainly due to the harsh banger racing conditions and thrashing it flat out! Lol
  3. Yeah just had a little read up on it... Will be getting a bypass valve as soon as i get paid... Any advice? Go for AEM bypass valve or will a normal universal one suffice? A road i go to work has a habit of getting a bit flooded on a certain bend and don't fancy having to be late for work to avoid a big puddle lool... Its usually quite shallow in middle of road but just as a precaution might be best to get one lol Cheers for the help lads!
  4. Yeah ive been careful... Im ok driving in rain tho aint i? Its just deep puddles i gta avoid so filter don't get submerged in water?? Obviously you get the standard 1mm splash puddles everywhere, they wont do any harm will they?
  5. Hows those roadworks doing? Would prefer not to keep using back lanes in this weather with filter down in my bumper!! Lol
  6. Cheers guys on the sig! Ive needed to crack open photoshop and make one for far too long lol!! UPDATE! Finally converted my induction kit to CAI!! Woop! Lol Amazing what you can get done in a lunch break if you set your mind on it!!
  7. Thanks! Well they're second hand so they dont have as much push as they use to but aiming to get some better, slightly longer ones when im next at the scrappy! Yeah they're avensis estate boot struts actually... But they were replaced cos they were weak anyway so like i say, they'll do for now lol Little photo i took earlier... Edit~ got bored so i decided to turn the above photo into a signature... What do you guys think?
  8. Right... I've wanted to do this mod for a few weeks but have had to wait untill i was back at work! From an idea behind a 'how to' on civiclife, i had a go at adding some bonnet struts to get rid of the rod you have to place in the bonnet every time you lift it! Making the brackets were a bit trial and error, and i need to do new brackets in the near future which are stronger but these will suffice for now! Well happy with them
  9. Love the look of that mate! Good use of a cheap mod to COMPLETELY change the look! Does the interior light with led bulb work when doors open and by the manual switch? My led i put in only worked one way as is pole sensitive! Ta Edit~ just read your reply on my thread about light haha!
  10. Yeah i know, im going through merstham, over m25 n through back lanes to get home, no waiting necessary lol! Cheers Maz... Well I DID attempt that route, just spliced into the lamp with my wire going up a' pillar but at the same time i wanted to be able to turn them on/off manually regardless to the positions of the doors... So i removed my interior lamp connection and just have it on a switch now lol!! A question i wanted to ask though... I purchased some white festoon bulbs for my interior lamps but once fitted i found out they were pole sensitive... So my interior light ONLY worked with EITHER the door sensors OR the interior switch... At first it only came on with doors, then i turned bulb around it only worked with the switch??? Is there a way to get around this or any bulbs which give off a bright white light but are not pole sensitive? Cheers
  11. Ah did ya, i probs werent concentrating lool im not going that way today... Mega roadworks! Lol
  12. Under carpet along n/s is best route for cables... Wen wiring to head unit just make sure you got room for the cables behind unit before trying to force in... Bloody awkward trying to feed cables into a gap from drivers footwell, one hand behind dash the other trying to push unit in!! Lool
  13. Nice mate, looks good with the lip kit... Full kit is the way forward IMO... Just my opinion tho lol!!! Still looks good without rear tho to be fair! Looking at cheaper options for lowering my mc2 so if any budget kits are recommended please share with us
  14. Cheers tom i'll look into that! Yeah well i done them couple months ago but obviously didn't do them too well but they've come out alot better this time!
  15. She's looking beautiful mate! Real nice with all the p/b such a nice colour! Doing my original wheels black myself... Think ill wait to get decent wheels before going for the p/b! All looking really good mate well done!
  16. Thanks! Just need some decent civic mats to finish footwells off a treat! Like i said tho, lighting werent easy... First i got some prism led lights from ebay but they didnt give off that much light... Dissappointed!... Then i got some blue tube neon bars from ebay, in the ebay image it showed them under the seat and whole footwell was really well lit (like mine are now)... But again they didnt give off as much light as i expected...Dissapointed!... so i decided to make my own! The tube neons took ages to install, with an inline switch, so i wired up 4 bright blue T10 led bulbs to the same circuit so they all come on togeather but it was long winded!... I have a habit of overthinking and doing more than is necessary but never mind lool!!!
  17. Lool!! Sounds about right Bloody lights took me ages as i wired them in all from scratch using T10 blue led bulbs... Got a pack of 20 a while ago and thought id make use of them lool! Cheers!... Yeah one of mine is in worse condition and can tell the difference but there alot better than they were!!
  18. Looking really nice mate, got same colour intentions with my mc2! Silver black looks tasty
  19. Again thanks lads... All the positive comments ive recieved are much appreciated so cheers! Yeah thats what I will do, get a second set and take my time with them! In the meantime i got bored today and freshened up my existing lenses witch were horribly yellow and faded... 3000 wet n dry (+water) Old bottle of T-Cut Few rags With the wet n dry i soaked it in water and rubbed in circular motions over the effected area. 10 mins each lamp keeping wet n dry plenty wet! Rinsed off. T-Cut whole lamp very well with rag, when you think thats enough, do some more.. Then when your arms falling off do it a bit more still! New rag and buff off for a lovely finish! Others wax and polish after too but I was happy enough as I'm changing lamps anyway! Before: After: Think the clearer headlights with the new grill comes togeather quite nicely: Also earlier today i finished off my interior footwell lights which im pretty impressed with TBH!!: (Needs a good hoover in there I'm well aware lool!!)
  20. Was only a matter of time lol Looking good mate! Nice list you got there... as they all say it will only increase as you want to mod more than you intent lol!
  21. Hmm thats where i always go wrong... Get an idea n go steaming in and get less than expected results lool Would be best to do that, that way i aint screwed if goes tits up, and if goes well ill make me money back Cheers
  22. Cheers! Was going to have ago at lights today actually untill it started pi££ing down outside!! Car not in shelter so i would get soaked lol!!
  23. Cheers Maz! Good to see other people liking what I'm doing too! Aquired mesh from a mate And by ek9'ing the lights do you mean blacking the inside housing?
