Didn't say the EP3 wasn't gay, just said and to be honest we both looked at eachother like 'wtf how was that so close?' after that trial run on the simulator! Obviously I'd rather have an S14/RWD Nissan which is why you know my future plans GET THESE SEATS INNN! Cannot wait to see this in person again, makes such a change as you don't see an S14a let alone a clean one like this around here anyday!

220-235bhp and still only pulls 1 length on an EP3 running stock power from 40-100 on Gran Turismo A6. Love this car, one of my fav cars I've ever been in and those seats are gonna be awesome once they're in!

Yeah, audio in these cars especially the build quality now I have my sub and component speakers leave a lot to be desired, if I wasn't going for weight saving y0 (my car is actually a 2 seater now), I'd sound deaden stuff too! Any idea what you're going for in regards to the sub, what I've found with EPs is any size sub does fairly well to be honest as the car's not the best made car and the cabin is really 'airy'

Don't lower it it ruins it for once! If you do get HSDs/Meisters/Yellowspeeds not springs, though I've never known you to do things the easy way out Sir Krzys Camber bolts for £23 you can't go wrong!

They help a lot though! Ordered camber bolts and a short shifter kit for it too, as well as ordering new shifter bushings soon, time to make this car feel epic again!

Phase 1 complete: Tints It's not as dark as it looks in pictures and yes whilst I'm aware the fronts aren't particularly legal, when you have no A/C and no real way of cooling yourself down in a black car with a black suede interior, it was necessary, the tint place I used did my BMW and the tints are of a very high quality and it's still easy to drive with at night. Also removed the wind deflectors as the tint guy advised it could scratch the tint and showed where the clips for the hekos had been butchering my window seals and scratched the glass beforehand! By removing the wind deflectors I get a nice breeze inside the cabin whilst driving and it's nowhere near as hot! Phase 2: Bodyshop next!

YES it looks so DTM retro, if you weren't getting the plate delete I'd so condone speedholes for the aggressive look, it's not like it's a 316i or something so it's acceptable. The M stripes on the wing remind me of childhood DTM days and the plate suits surprisingly well! Ya mon it ah look suh DTM, seh yuh nah get di plate delete, mi haffi seh speedholes dem ah look good an mean an ting. Dis ah 328i nah a 316i, seen so it all good me bredda. Di M stripes on di wing an ting remind me ah di good old days of DTM, di plate looks wikkid mon. Seen.

It's decent power for 110k miles sure, still definitely has an exhaust leak somewhere but it's still quick enough.. I think Yeah I'd happily trade a few bhp that won't be that noticeable, for the scream on VTEC, paired with my exhaust it's quite nice haha

I've heard from many EP3 owners that most tuners when they map EP3s dyno in 4th so that's the gear I should really use when talking about figures! Interesting.. And @Krzys you'd need 6th or to find another gear

Considering it's done 110k miles it's not bad on power! It's actually running even more than that! My manifold definitely has a leak somewhere or it's somewhere along the exhaust system, it was also dyno'd in 5th when EP3s are meant to be dyno'd in 4th gear, so I'm probably around the 200bhp mark if anything currently, probably more once the exhaust leak is sorted! Also it now chirps into 2nd gear in the bone dry heat, and sometimes 3rd gear depending on road surface, definitely got adequate power for town use, I just want more midrange hence a map being on the cards . Can't wait for the tinted windows though it'll really finish the look of the car and stop it being so bloody hot inside!

Hopefully a few little aesthetic tweaks, also sourcing a good manifold then getting a map hopefully but that won't be by japfest2 unfortunately, but then it's not really visible when parked up at a show so I don't mind

Holy crap it sounds really close ratio'd like a rally car, must feel like it with the way the shifter is in an EP3 too! Was that to 8k each time? Your 2nd and 3rd are insanely short!

EP3 has a 4.7FD standard @dr_broon This must absolutely fly, this is a mod that's been on my 'dream EP3' list for quite a while (mainly the 5.1 FD/Taller 6th/LSD, not so much the carbon synchros), gonna be fun seeing this destroy other cars on track! Video of how short the gearing is on a private test track please?

Standard power is 197 for a UK spec S14 I believe, either way during a simulation test from 30-100 the S14 pulled out one car length on an EP3 and stayed at 1 car length till 100, had we let the simulation run for longer the S14 would've killed the EP3 top end. Gotta love Gran Turismo A6.

I was gonna ask the same thing as Roj, as the EP3 without a map does 58 in 2nd, (really annoying cause the 0-60 time would be way way better if it revved like 200rpm higher stock!) so 60 must be a fair bit into 3rd and 2nd gear must top out at like 50 now? Must accelerate so well up to 110...kmh LSD is one of the things I wish the EP3 had, I think I'm the only person out of my car group of friends to have an open diff! EP3 really needs it coming out of corners I reckon!

I'm not expecting to see the money back, it's just that I'm spending money on a car that fair enough I love it, but it's a car that I'd have to spend a lot of money on in order to get miniscule gains (40bhp for £1500) etc. I know tuning Hondas isn't cheap N/A but it's just that whether it's worth it or not, I've been assured it is though. I've sold 3 of my previous 5 modified cars and none of them at a loss, whilst I don't expect that with the EP3 it's just where do I draw the line on spending it on a car, when I can get another car that can make way better gains for way cheaper plus try something new. I'm keeping it till March or May depending on insurance at either time and seeing what else is out there. Like on maintaining the car alone, brakes, items like driveshafts, service items, clutch etc I've probably spent well over the value of the car, on a car that still is making about stock power and doesn't look amazing. I'm not expecting the money back, but I'm expecting my moneys worth if that makes sense? Also I don't modify cars to make money back that's ridiculous, I modify it cause I enjoy doing it, but it's whether the enjoyment I get out of the EP3 is worth the amount I'm pouring into it. The money I've spent on it I could have an MPS3 or a GTST skyline with over 300bhp. That's where the issue lies, it's not that I don't like the car, I do it's just where do I draw the line on spending on a car that doesn't look worth what I've spent on it. And yes I may be an idiot for spending that much on it!

Yeah the MPS3 is very very high on my list of options, but then it is a bit 5doorsy and boring for a 22 year old with no commitments except car and friends haha, I may just go mental on the EP3 as for the money I'd spend on the MPS3 (another 2.5k ontop of selling EP3), I could make the EP3 a car that's a lot more fun.. but then there's the fact I'm pouring money into a 110k mile 13 year old hatch that I won't see any of it back at the end, I've already spent a fair bit on maintaining and getting this car to a semi decent standard, like where do I draw the line?
