  1. Thanks! Apparently the weather is decent for a few hours today so gonna give it a once over!
  2. Haha @Roj isn't even attending! If there's a small window of time where it's not raining I'll give the car a jetwash and get it relatively clean but don't expect anything immaculate at Japfest!
  3. I can't clean my car due to the weather forecast so I'm having second thoughts on even coming to Japfest cause I don't wanna let the stand down and myself down with a filthy car The car's absolutely horrible and brown and dusty, I dunno if I'd want it on stand at a show. Someone talk me out of this.
  4. But prior to this we were just like.. Anyway let's not derail this. Pre Japfest cleaning prep begins tomorrow.
  5. Thanks! Final prep for Japfest begins! And yeah seem to want yellow now What do you mean just to be me? Hahaha, and yeah probably yellow for function y0
  6. Definitely! there was no way I was going to risk cutting my own bumper as I'd never used a jigsaw before let alone on my own car! Came out well though and I'm very happy with the results, now I'm 50/50 whether to go for bright white fogs or the 'JDM' yellow bulb look! I wanted a facelift bumper later down the line but now I've got these fogs I reckon I'll keep this bumper and maybe fab up a custom splitter.
  7. And the front being brought down to the same arch gap as the rear!
  8. Sooooo foglight time! So this is the standard EP3 front bumper grille, which I assumed removed from the back of the bumper so I could trim it that way or perhaps get a piece from a model with foglights but nope! It's moulded to the back of the bumper, so I think Honda make two sets of bumpers one for fogs and one without - So cutting did have to take place! So I received the fogs and lets just say.. Full of sand, rusty inside but when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. So we split the insides and painted them black, then removed the front bumper: It was time to cut up the bumper grille and fit the fogs! This was scary as a week before Japfest the last thing I wanted to happen so I delegated it to dad and got him to sign a crayon'd waiver saying if he messes up, he buys me a new bumper haha Basic fogs fitted and all looks good so far, put the surround on just to see All that was left to put on the lenses.. f**k. When cleaning up the old dirty lenses one of them shattered. Decided to go get some Lexan/Polycarbonate for the lenses as they won't shatter and is relatively cheap. You may be wondering why there's california scents on it, well the sealant on the lexan had to settle right? Fitted a neat little toggle switch And now the finished product! All done! I want better bulbs for it though but I love the fact they're wired independently so I don't need headlights or sidelights on to have the fogs on! Very happy with my mod for £85 all in vs the OEM Honda £220 and as far as I know this style hasn't been done before. OEM EP3 Fogs have brackets and proper surrounds, I never got those so it had to be fully custom and flush. Very very happy with the result. A clean then it'll be ready for Japfest!
  9. Congrats man! You know I love this car and I know the effort you put into these things is extraordinary, can't wait to see this next weekend! And your car will handle amazingly after the alignment and feel a lot nicer on the road ps. wut is a honda.
  10. I've been using cars at work or the BMW for a bit now that I'm 22 and on the traders at the garage lol, driven some right sheds.. and some right beauties! Yeah the fuel light wasn't even on! It was on 1/4 but cause it was the same fuel that got me back from Mimms and I hate going out 'just to fill up' I thought I'd put £30 in to get some V power points and so I don't have to worry about going out and not having fuel!
  11. If that's directed at me? Nope! Japfest prep has begun though, I've put petrol in! Shockingly until yesterday afternoon I was still running on the petrol that got me from Mimms to home.. shows how much I use it!
  12. By spending it on the M, Tom means spend it on the M-Tech bumper. Right?
  13. I'll spoil it cause no one really reads this thread except you xD OEM EP3 PREFACELIFT FOGLIGHTS WOOOOOOOOOOOOO Edit: That's how I felt with this EP3, I was so excited I finally got one, unless someone offered me like double what I paid, I'd say no!
  14. Haha wow the day you bought it? If they offered you a fair bit more than you paid you reckon you would've taken it?! Anywho with Japfest in just under 2 weeks, and 4 years license today (irrelevant but a milestone for me none the less) I bought a mod I'd wanted on an EP3 since 2001. They should be here this week sometime due to me of course buying something on Bank Holiday weekend when it'll take a day longer to get here, I'll keep this updated when they arrive, and then attempt to fit them straight away.
  15. Dem ah angel ting look wikid mon, dem ah look real smoov pon di cyar, also dem ah act as DRL so yuh can be seen, seen. Dem ah look so fresh mon, real crisp mi bredda. One love. Looks good man, will look sweet with smoked indicators and eyelids, now you need to drive with angels and fogs on at all times.
  16. @UnicyclingTom needs a BMW methinks.
  17. If it was a coupe I'd say do it, otherwise just to the M3 evo wing on raisers.
  18. I legit should fit mine this week when it's washed haha
  19. New rear lights, angel eye headlights.. I have a feeling it's not Tom you're copying, but MY BMW. Haha nah it'll look good man can't wait to see them fitted!
  20. Probably just needs the other side tightened, makes sense as you tightened one.. that's if it's the same kind of noise? Glad you're slowly getting this sorted, it's just punishment you see for leaving the Honda scene to buy a boat/mondeo.
  21. Oo DS2500 will be good for track! And yeah tyre pressures make a massive difference, mine are at 32 all round and it feels just right, sometimes I run 34/34 on motorway though!
  22. I've never owned a car that gets me into so many conversations at petrol stations before! I got lots of 'what is that?' in the starlet GT, and the people who knew what it was thumbed up including a guy who was there with his missus in the WRX STi who took several photos of it.. but this EP3. Every time I've put in petrol recently some either boy racer or a proper enthusiast has to talk to me about it.. The boy racers come at the 'oh my mates brothers cousins dads gardeners nephew has one of these with like 400 brake mate' angle The proper enthusiasts ask proper questions though. I've had guys in traffic queues on the opposite side of the road ask me if it's quick. I don't know why it gets so much attention but it's nice to know people like my car despite it looking completely standard except the lows, calipers and spoiler (only an anorak would notice the black inner headlights).
  23. I want an R33 GTSt next I've decided, but it'd have to wait till next May, I'm not quite done with the EP3 yet and I think even if I got the GTSt I wouldn't sell the EP3 I just love driving it so much and it's relatively cheap to run! 325i is going before August though...
  24. I could actually afford an R34 GTT if I sold the BMW haha, but I'm more of a fan of the R33 over the R34, I'd love a moredoor but I haven't ticked the coupe box yet so I really think the R33 GTSt might be the next one.. problem is.. I can insure a UK Spec R33 GTR for less than an import R33 GTSt. And I'd have to wait till next May before I could insure the GTSt. But then I don't have 13k for an R33 GTR or the balls to run it.
