  1. Thicker RARB is one of the best performance per £ mods I've done to it, @Roj has driven my car and will tell you that it's not just my insane EP3 bias, it handled amazingly and cornered flat on stock suspension with just thicker RARB! Also yeah there's no front strut brace but there's a rear one under the boot carpet Brakes wise I've gone for MTEC grooved on mine with Mintex pads and I'd say they cope pretty well, the mintex are a bit noisy though if I say so myself and I'd change pad if I were tracking definitely (the mintex are the bog standard ones that come with MTEC discs for cheap) but that's just my input, you'd know best having actually tracked yours! My friends been ranting and raving about Nankang NS2R track tyres so I'm considering giving them a punt when I get my new alloys, not sure though!
  2. Looks like so much fun, don't know why that silver EK overtook you to go slow though! Lots of EP3s and that one that overtook you then popped a flame looked epic! What's the plans now after experiencing track? Suspension mods? Tyres? More power?
  3. YA MON, Dem be deh nyu rear lights, seen. Dem ah look wikkin pon di bimma, alie? In other words, they'll look epic, can't wait to see this looking more 90's than it does now!
  4. Try the component set, trust me it's a world of difference from standard but then you currently have some good speakers in there anyway so not sure if it'll be worth it for you? The installation wasn't as fiddly as I expected! Absolutely in love with intake noise but unfortunately my wallet isn't. Burning through fuel like it's nothing on VTEC just to hear it now haha! This weather + non AC model EP3 is really crying out for some tinted windows, so I shall do that hopefully before Japfest1
  5. He woke up and realised it's not a Honda, don't worry he's been calmed down and assured it's still a good car
  6. Nice Mug! That's quality haha Oo Jazz washer jets, another mod on my list for when I install my new bonnet The standard ones are crap! Let us know how it goes
  7. Running off the standard wiring at the moment, trying to find a good 2 channel now to improve it further Drilled the standard mirror triangles and flush mounted the tweeters to them, the component set I got gave me the option of proper tweeter pods or flush mounting them, so I went with the latter Yeah red filter, got it for £11 off eBay, and yup I've done a few 0-30 runs and coupled with my exhaust it sounds insane on VTEC now, feels a lot more 'alive' and 'B series'-ish.. if that makes sense? Thanks for introducing the mod to me, and also the 22mm breather was still loose so like you suggested, tighten the hose clamp till theres no give whatsoever!
  8. Got the component speakers and intake fitted on Thursday, been driving and smiling ever since, damn this intake is LOUD! Pics: Intake: Comps: Random Carpark shot: Quick review of the components: The clarity is immense, the subwoofer no longer overpowers everything, the install was relatively simple and after a play with the settings on the headunit it now sounds very very clear and good indeed. Volume 15 now is equal to say Volume 30/31 on the standard speakers!
  9. Sorry about that Roj, call it drift damage So the parts for the S2000 intake are all here ready to fit, and I may actually get the component speakers done this week/month/year/decade. Excite.
  10. Did you throw pikachu a towel and say 'glazed like a donut' then walk off? Too far?
  11. Fair point, it did sound really good too! I may track Rockingham at Japfest2 depending on if I can get a removable silencer put in my exhaust, but then I'm a bit scared due to having never tracked outside of video games and go karting Thanks, I got loads more pictures but the photobucket app then resizing is a pain
  12. Uuuupdate! Drove to Leicester on Friday for the start of the 'Furious Mimms Weekend' as we put it. Arrived in Leicester to be greeted by this beauty on @Sorivity driveway: I know right, isn't that clio an absolute stunner! The S14a that boxes it in isn't too bad either I suppose. We started sorting out Sorivity/Andys car on the Friday, and the Saturday but I'll let him update that in his thread. Everyone then cleaned their cars (thanks again Andy for cleaning mine! Appreciate it a lot man), watched Fast 7, then once everyones cars were looking presentable we went for a photoshoot. Props to our mate Richard for the pictures. ^ Andy your car looks amazing in that pic My favourite shot of my car from that evening. Werewolf, full moon. ^ ^ The next morning me and @Roj set off for the Mimms meeting point, we somehow did a 50 minute journey in 31 minutes including a 5 minute fuel stop.. Somehow. Amazing convoy. ^ Then we were joined by everyone else, and some random EPcivic people. ^ Mimms! Had a good day out at Mimms, a lot more variety than I was expecting, and was nice meeting you all and seeing your cars as well as watching @UnicyclingTom and @Krzys battle it out on track! Post Mimms, well when driving back to Leicester for a quick rest before driving back home after Mimms my car started making a familiar noise. A noise I'd heard before when my downpipe springbolt had snapped. Oops. I drove it the 130 or so miles back home and then yesterday at work put it on the ramp and surprise surprise.. Luckily I had a spring bolt spare from when the OTHER one went, in hindsight I should've changed both at the same time, but oh well, sorted now and car sounds as it should.. or does it? After hearing Krzys EP3 at Mimms I've been wanting that intake noise, so with help from Krzys on what to order (thanks again!) I've ordered the S2000 intake setup he's currently running. Will it heatsoak in London traffic? Probably. Will I care with THAT intake noise? Probably not. But yeah that's the update for now!
  13. I love the way the T1Rs spun up like mad in the 0-60, nice car this, intake noise is lovely! Nice to meet you and have a little chat! Eurocarparts show a green S2000 filter on their site, I don't want to buy it from there and it to be green, but then maybe it's just a stock image and I might get a red one? Luck of the draw I guess
  14. True! I have seen worse tbh! Also got the car aligned today so all my jobs except cleaning it, for Mimms are done. In love with how this drives now and the alignment was well out because I'd lowered it, even though I got it aligned last year, happy Shafz. Pics when clean tomorrow (hopefully)
  15. I was gonna go down the HSD route for suspension but I wanted lows after seeing Rojs car and I wanted it to look/handle good for show season, as well as me being tired of looking at the arch gap. Also didn't have the £750 needed to get these coilovers and I don't really do finance too! Atleast I never had a big towhook fashion accessory on my ca- oh. You drive an EP3, it makes you feel 17 all over again!
  16. It's not 'comfortable' but it's not 'harsh', it's inbetween. It rides fairly compliant but it is stiffer than standard and it feels way more stable on the move, no body roll at all it feels darty and 'fun', I recommend them over the eibach EP3s I've ridden in!
  17. It handles amazing. In love with this thing, badly needs an alignment though I have mad cambers y0!
  18. How do you remove glovebox in an MB? In an EP3 you just pinch both sides
  19. What I've found after driving and going in several BMW autos is the boxes are actually really good, to the point that the 8 speed ZF we had in a 530d was way better than the manual, I don't think I'd have a new BMW with a manual box if the new autos available! It suits the cruising nature of this E36 perfectly.. But we need drift footage Roj.
  20. Ooo I like! Look forward to hearing your thoughts on them! Also another upgrade to add to my list.
  21. So the TEINs are on.. they sit PERFECT, They haven't settled yet and the cars filthy so I'll get some pics tomorrow but as of right now they sit how I'd want them to be, but a tiny bit lower wouldn't hurt. I have some pics but I cba to upload cause spent all day doing the springs Quality - 9/10 - It's TEIN, everything is as it should be, very confident in these. Ride and Handling - 9/10 - The ride is stiff, not back breakingly bad or anything but not what I'd call supple. Coming off of speedbumps now there is no give/bounce in the suspension, around corners there is less body roll and more feel, this coupled with the JDM rear anti roll bar makes it very very fun to drive and very confidence inspiring. Scene Points - 11/10 - It's TEIN. It came with two stickers that say TEIN. JDM yo. Overall I'm very happy, it sits better than I expected it to and my word does it handle well now, and I haven't got it re-aligned yet! Bring on Monday. I'm going to get a temporary alignment on Monday to last me till after Mimms then I'll buy camber bolts and get an FRSU for sure
  22. The smell inside when you bought it was rather.. interesting. I think he was a farmer, liked cultivating greens, and also an arsonist, cause he then liked to set the greens on fire. Must've been a vegetarian who couldn't cook very well.. burnt greens.
  23. Don't worry, ask @Roj, I have about 10 metres of speaker cable in my boot
  24. Ya mon, dem be dem cleyaa repeaters. Seen. Dem ah look real nice pon di rocketship mon, real smoooooth ya simmi?
