  1. Cars up for breaking so my carbon bonnet, spoiler and bits like that are for sale as well as the anti social exhaust so give us a shout , thanks @Roj for calling dibs on a few big bits from it, good parts of her shall live on in the OEM+ MB6. Next car choice has been made but I don't want to say anything till it's done. It's Japanese and turbocharged and has many more horsepowarz than my EP3 did. Mum's gonna kill me.
  2. Yes then Roj! Can't wait for you to update with the type R swap you've got from me Oh. Is my EP3 going to good use? Find out in the next episode of...
  3. This crossed my mind on more than one occasion
  4. She's a gonner. Front subframe and chassis so bent it's not even funny. K20A2 still fine though and box.. Watch this space. It won't be a quick recovery, probably be by March so for now I'm back in my 325i till I can get what I want done.. Done Thanks all for the support was a very scary moment for me and my mates, car kept us alive and that's all that matters, drive safe! Hehehehe kswapped hatch..
  5. Let me just say, rear left blowout, dual carriageway speeds, dual carriageway curve, and two reservations (hit one sideways which then spun the car 180 into the central one) How the thing still bloody starts, drives, steers, gearbox works, both headlights even still work, I have no clue.
  6. Thanks guys, yeah we're all okay, assessed the car and it is save-able so just trying to see whether it's worth fixing it, or buying an EP3 with a bottom end knock and swapping my perfectly healthy K20/box into it, or Kswapping an older car.. But having been in this situation, I'm glad I had an EP3 cause it kept us safe where I feel an older civic wouldn't have, and I think it's time to cool down a bit and go for a slower more showy build.. but I do love my EP3. Decisions, decisions.
  7. Minor injury to my left foot from clutch pedal and right shoulder from seat belt pulling me back, usual whiplash but we're all okay, car might live again it depends if I wanna put the money into it, K20 and box etc still works fine so might just chuck that into something else, we'll see
  8. Let's just say, RIP. It kept me and my friends safe. We're lucky to be alive. Moving onto the next one.
  9. MTEC grooveds with mintex pads here and I give them hell and it's been fine for 18 months, noisy but fine.
  10. New wheels look good, let us know how the tyres are! I'm planning to switch to AD08Rs next set though so would be good to see how a high performance street tyre copes on track with your EP3 Loving the direction this is going down!
  11. Well with my current mods of intake, straight through true 2.5" exhaust it definitely feels like it has more get up and go, especially compared to a friends standard EP3 I had a simulation test with, but I wanna try and get it dyno'd where I intend on getting it mapped (Eurospec) and get a proper before readout even though I know their dyno underreads, but if I get the whp figure it's easy to convert to bhp I'm guessing 210ish atm, and mates with similar power cars/cars that have similar power to weight seem to agree, but we'll see when the mapping happens!
  12. Thanks! Yeah I'll be pestering him as he wants to break his back to standard to sell it anyway, already giving me mates rates so I'm more than happy with the deal! The fact it's a good brand manifold too also puts me at ease a bit as I've ran cheaper manifolds on past cars and the quality has always been 50/50! Yeah I've been thinking about getting the mappers to fit the manifold for me, or fitting it near their premises as I don't want to drive 20-30 odd miles at national speed limit in a car that's running really lean/rich and lumpy and cause damage to the engine/ECU I've spent so long wanting to get mapped up!
  13. Soo almost a month later, what's changed? Well I've ordered new wishbone bushes, only OEM as I'm not going down the poly route as this car is now going to get a lot of miles in it around town due to a new commute. I'm currently in talks with a friend about his buddyclub exhaust manifold that he's getting rid of and breaking his EP3 back to standard so hopefully that goes through then I have a good quality system, will have to change my front anti roll bar to a JDM spec one for it to clear the manifold though! The moment the exhaust manifold is sorted I'll be changing the intake to a less 'heatsoaky' one and then booking it in for mapping. Build slowly in winter, enjoy in spring is the plan!
  14. The mapped 5.1 one as far as I know had RBC, Teg M, Mani and 3" exhaust.
  15. Yeah I should see decent gains but mines a 2.5" straight through as the 3" would hang too low for the insane speedbumps we have in London! I scrape the 2.5" as is and I'm only lowered 25mm :/ It'd be interesting to see how ours compare when done, 5.1 final and normal power vs 4.7 final and mapped, as I know a mapped EP3 with a 5.1 final kept up with a JRSC EP3 with a 4.7...
  16. The straight pipe and decat has helped the power top end by a massive margin, the only real restriction at the moment now is the exhaust manifold, which I'll probably chuck on on the day of mapping to save the engine from too much wear/damage. I'm probably going to get mine tuned at Eurospec which I know for a fact has a heartbreaker/low reading dyno. My friend there with mani, 3" exhaust, K100, RBC and Tegiwa M only made 226 on their dyno but at other dynos makes up to 240 and can outpull a 300bhp ST with ease, and a stock EP3 makes 188 on their dyno so if I make anywhere around 210-215 on their dyno I'll be very happy! As when you map an EP3 it isn't about the peak increase (10-20 bhp at best) but the whopping 35+ bhp you gain midrange, his car from any revs in any gear just moves now! I want that with mine.
  17. It's your rent-a-car when you stay at mine anyway haha, gets driven like one anyw- no.
  18. Updates! @Vaipo1 and @Roj did my driveshaft for me on the road after finally locating the source of a horrible knock on launch to be the passenger sides driveshaft. All went smoothly (by all, the driveshaft was fine, but re-aligning and doing my front camber bolts.. NOPE!). So now that's sorted with a few burnouts in a designated burnout box to test for knocking, all good! Went out for a hoon and got a picture of the 3 cars that night, Roj's E36 ///M328i is a beast. The mods I planned to showcase at Japfest2 were my new exhaust (true 2.5" straight pipe) but as I didn't go to the meeting point no one got to hear it except my mates and @Sorivity neighbours lolol, it's insanely loud and has ruined all the 'dailyness' but the pops and bangs on the overrun and the noise in VTEC is incredible. I also figured out a way to get the carbon fibre bonnet to latch but again, time was an issue before japfest2 as 3 days before the show I became an uncle! Also deposit is down on some new wheels and I also have money for a K100 and basemap huehuehue. Good times roll ahead.
  19. I've done a mod to the car. I like it. You'll know at Japfest2. @Roj ssh.
  20. It's actually made the gearshift feel nicer, less rubbery resistance.. I can't explain it and I'm sure there's an innuendo in there to be exploited somewhere
  21. Sooo small pre japfest2 updates, got my front camber bolts done thanks to @Vaipo1, no pictures of those as they're bolts that aren't visible, set the fronts to -1.2ish degrees and now the turn in feels way better! Also finally changed my gear gaiter, I hated the horrible gaiter that came with the EP3 stock that looked like something out of an 80's Toyota Corolla! So changed it to this nice alcantara one with matching stitching to the front seats! The lock nut on the stock shifter was rounded so @Roj sent me out his fake skunk2 one and it works just fine, again thanks to Vai for removing the stubborn as feck rounded locknut! To match:
  22. That's why I'm making the move to Nissan once insurance allows! I blame Andys S14 for getting the ball rolling, I love Honda don't get me wrong but RWD Nissan life is calling! Andy stick to SR and make it a reliable motor, a rebuilt SR would be more reliable to me anyway than a second hand RB25, plus you're not going for outright power.. The RB is bloody smooth though.
