awesome, one more thing on the shopping list
  4. anyone know if a rear strut brace for an MG zs180 would fit an MB? and if not any idea where to get one that would?
  5. technically the engine in my mates one was only half french, it was the special edition he had which had a Porsche developed head on it Edit: or so he claimed anyway, i never did any fact checking on that lol
  6. thread was slowing down No one had posted in a while, thought that would get someone's attention
  7. a friend of mine used to have one of these Crazy little car sadly he thrashed it to the point where it was spitting blades from the turbo impeller out of the exhaust....
  8. well here's the reason lol http://topbodykit.co.uk/p/4610/honda/honda-civic-mb-front-bumper

    Mileage!

my 99 T reg is 96k "ish" at the moment but the engine is out of my 98 R reg vtis and it was about 25k higher at the time
  12. the answer is yes... they do prefer it, and actually all engines will run better on the higher octane stuff but you will see more of a difference on some. my MB6 loves it and i use it whenever i can afford to, its also more efficient on long runs so in that situation the higher cost of the fuel more or less balances out. the best stuff in the UK is either Shell V-power or (surprisingly) Tesco's high octane stuff which i cant remember the name of. both of them are 99 as apposed to the 97/98 that all of the other high octane fuels are, also Tesco's is usually the cheapest of the bunch and to answer your ECU question, with a standard ECU in the car then it will run fine on normal stuff but it will prefer the super juice.... however if you remap it then you should really be using the high octane fuels
  13. ill second that.... just something about french cars always rubbed me the wrong way

    Front grill

as far as I'm aware its exactly the same, its MA's that are different cos on the MB's its attached to the bonnet and on the MA's its on the bumper, so yeh you should be fine Anyone else feel free to correct me
  15. I don't have the fob for mine but im planning on getting one of the bolt on Hawk systems instead of getting a new fob, I've been told they work really well
  16. my immediate list is Lca's once i get the bushes for them wishbones when i get time refitting the front bumper to get rid of the gap under the headlight getting rid of the chrome on the grill getting rid of the 1.4i badge on the rear bumper shopping list is 4-1 manifold and if i have enough money later in the year a load of plastidip thought about adding throttle body and inlet manifold but I'm being realistic on what I'm gonna have enough cash for this year lol
  17. haha yeh i met someone a while back that I'm fairly sure had one of these, or something of the sort anyway in a new ish Seat Leon, he was claiming it was the real deal but i called his bluff and my "crappy old honda" (his words) wiped the floor with him

    Machine shop

very simply, its a bracket to hold the induction pipe in place, the tab on it doesn't quite reach any of the mounting points, all i need is a plate about 2 inches long with a bolt in either end, i get the car back on the road on the 18th (soonest VIC appointment i could get ) so can bring the car round after that and show you if that would be ok, i would guess its something you could knock out in about 30 seconds lol i just don't have access to anything to do it myself
  19. Anyone know of a good workshop in Edinburgh? i need to get a small bracket custom made and so far Google is not being particularly useful.
  20. always liked these two, they belong to a couple of mates of mine in Inverness
  21. Probably just referring to the turbo "kick" feeling somewhat like VTEC
  22. I have a nasty feeling it wont have VTEC.... this "may" have been resolved but i read somwehere a while ago that Honda couldnt make the VTEC engines fit into the new EU emissions regulations so they were ditching the whole VTEC system and going down the Turbo route with all their future performance modles. It was quite a while ago though so that may have changed since then.
  23. Those are pretty awsome, need a new set for mine as well, how was putting the hid kit in them? and which kit did you use?
