I'm the same lol, only use vtec these days if it's absolutely, totally and utterly necessary to teach some motherf**ker a lesson!
-
I've been wondering about this as well, how exactly do you remove the coolant pipe? Mine is just dangling at the moment lol
-
I've got a mongoose system that only has a back box and a resonator in the middle and I've got a decat in, it's not raspy at all, nice growel at low revs and howls like a norse god when vtec kicks in so the toyo one might be okay
-
Is that a yes to your ATR seats being for sale? I love the ATR recaros and will be looking for a set when I've got cash in a month or two, how much would you want? And which colour are they? (Assuming you still have them when I get paid )
-
wow, they look amazing, thats the first set ive seen fitted to a PB car, makes it look seriously evil
-
cool thanks man, ill probably just ignore it for now, completely refurbing my brakes over the summer and right now the hand brake bearly works anyway so its not really a problem was just slightly surprised that the light was comming on when i really stick it into a bend
-
If you do break the vti can I scavenge the carcass once you have everything you want off it?
-
I do tight bends in second usually if I'm really going for it, 3rd doesn't feel safe lol Yeh neither would I mate
-
A mate of mine has a y21 I think he said 123 are shorter and 45 are the same
-
Just done the same thing on mine, biggest socket I had was a 32mm so that was close lol I'm kinda lucky in that my abs has been deleted so I just battered the sensor out of the way when the collar was to big lol
-
Not sure what gearbox he's using acctually but I "think" it was an s9b that was with the engine in the previous car, I wouldn't be surprised if he swapped it for an s80, ill ask him next time I speak to him
-
What wrong with the caliper? Would a refurbished be an option? Also the price they are quoting isn't as bad as it sounds, I was quoted just shy of 300 each caliper from honda and that's just the part!
-
Wow that's really good acctually, might need to get them to do mine, however when it decides to stop raining im going to attack that one caliper with grease as a temporary fix
-
Heh abs has been deleted anyway, im gonna try and get some other stuff anyway
-
How much are those guys charging you krzys?
-
Where you finding thease dude? I'm seriously thinking about getting a 1.5 deck as a daily so I can keep the mb6 as a weekend/crail car, but they seem to be pretty rare thease days, especially the ecotec. And yeh 180 is a bargain lol

Fair nuff I just keep seeing threads like this http://www.bikersoracle.com/vfr/forum/archive/index.php?t-44119.html
-
Btw, ive read about various reasons to avoid copper grease on brakes these just old wives tales or should I look for a synthetic alternative? Any suggestions?
-
I could have sworn I read about the risks in someone's build thread on here, was ages ago though so I might be wrong
-
Ah ok, I didn't realise those were ment to move lol, thought they were just mounting bolts. I'll have a go at them when I can get some grease thanks dude
-
Ok so my passenger side rear brake is only using the inside of the disk, the outside pad isn't being used at all. I have heard some people say something about sliders but not sure where to start or what the "sliders acctually are. Any suggestions?

Nothing showing on the oil cap but apparently it was smoking a little at Crail but I haven't seen the video yet (not sure it will help it's apparently a bit shaky as it was taken from the car chasing me) I'm gonna do a full gasket change when I've got the cash anyway seeing as it's probably never been done
