What engine code will I have in my 1999 Civic 1.4 ils, manual? Looking for a cambelt kit and theirs two kits available with a different number of teeth on the belts
-
Fairly new to these Civics. I know a lot about the Rover 400/45 and MG ZS so know they are good cars. Is the Civic VTI suspension different to the standard Civic (non VTI)? Stiffer? Lower? Is the VTI and 'VTI S' suspension the same? What about the Civic 'Sport'?
-
Why dont you want MG ZS suspension? MG Rover made that car handle absolutely superbly. On par or close to an Integra Type R I believe.
-
Nope not sorted it yet. I thought that this would have had more responses I must admit. Lots of Civics and Rovers I look at have this problem. The Rover 400 is terrible for it, worse than the Civic. The later 45/ZS seems bettter.

I will be attempting this sometime on my Rover and also my brothers Civic. How many cans of this would be required for 1 head lining? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Trimbond-trim-fix-high-temp-spray-glue-for-general-upholstery-car-trimming-/151206917402?pt=UK_Crafts_Cardmaking_Scrapbooking_Glue_Tape_EH&var=&hash=item2334a2751a Did you do the door cards too?
-
Very interested to know how. What tools were used and what material? Both my brothers Civic and my Rover 400 have loose door card material (and head linings too!). The Civic I could just buy any Civic, Rover 45 or MG ZS door cards. However with my Rover 400 I am a bit stuck as the interior is grey - which was not an option on the 45 or ZS, and most Civics are black interior too.

Had this on a Civic and Rover 400 too

Surely it would be no louder than the side set up you have now? -
I did see that and thought of adjusting it. However I remember back on the old Rover 214's that it was suggested never to adjust that as it was set from factory and it would upset the ecu as it will try to counter-act your adjustments?
-
Drove one of these when it was only a year or two old, diddnt do much for me in all honesty, but then I didnt push it hard. How much can you pick one of these up for now though? Im sure its a better car than a C2. I think I would get a ZR160 over either though

Before this crazy side exit exhaust, back when you had the straight through, was it just normal mild steel? If so how do you go about making it up? -

Absolutely loving this car mate, also seen Robins Rover 45 which is so funny. I remember racing him in my old Rover 400 lol -
Is a 1999 Civic 1.4 5 door hatchback also an MB2? As the car ive just picked up for my brother has lots of free play on the clutch pedal

Does anyone have any surface rust, or even proper rot around the tailgate hinges?

Best Place to buy replacement belts/idler pulley?

Just purchased a A/C belt tensioner from Kimber Car parts as Euros etc. didn't stock one. The delivery was expensive but part seems ok. Was very slightly different on the front face where the washer and nut sits, however it seems to be doing the job and hasn't flown off yet!
