civicturbo79 Posted November 26, 2011 Author Share Posted November 26, 2011 Now the vt is done i need to get on with the supra so i have started the ball rolling by buying a garrett gt42 its brand new never been fitted it just has some surface rust on the exhaust housing , new this turbo is £1700 i paid £435 for it posted Rich. civicturbo79 Posted November 26, 2011 Author Share Posted November 26, 2011 i know nothing about turbos how is this different from your other one bigger?The standard set up is twin turbos but manifold is small and the turbo course alot of restriction. so at 1.2 bar the standard set up makes about 400 bhp. i need to get new manifold the turbo i now have new down pipe and mid pipe bigger injectors change the ecu new oil feed and return lines but this set up will give me about 500 bhp at 1.2 bar just because of less restriction. i going for 1.6 bar and im looking to make 600 bhp. i may need to change my clutch and flywheel as my stage 3 clutch may not be good enough.
