Forum seems deathly silent

Yes, it's a shame. It's the same for basically every kind of specialist forum these days unfortunately.

The barrier for entry is lower for posting on facebook, even though it's an abysmal format for specialist discussion. It's ok for asking questions, but thats about it. Any kind of long term logging of knowledge like this forum is full of is not compatible with their engagement/advertising driven format. Probably less said about that the better.

Totally agree mate. It's a nightmare trying to find stuff out about the stepwagon. There is a UK forum but there's hardly any content on it...everything seems to be on Facebook, but as you say it's rubbish for finding stuff unless you spend hours searching and stumble on something relevant.

I'm keeping away from Facebook again nowadays.. Find it a real waste of energy.

recently became member of this forum (1-1,5 year ago). It's a pitty that it's so quiet. I found some answers all this time from this community by searching old posts but i't not that simple, it's a bit tiring. Anyway I hope to get live again, our love for hondas is endless❤️🎌

Most of the time it's picking the right key word to use in the search. Often stuff you're looking for is in people's build threads, but even when you don't find what you're after at least you get to dip into what folk were doing to their cars. 👌

Hi mate, sorry I've not been around. Health has been crap since end of last year and we moved house (deffo the last time this time!) so not had time to get on here.

I posted up seeing if there was any interest in a club stand at one of the classic car shows, but only two cars up for it. Bit of a downer but hey ho! Lol Would love to get a meet organised for the summer, still a lot of original members here but also a lot of new faces with new civic Ms that we haven't seen before. Might put a wee post up on here and the FB group (don't worry, I hate social media as much as you! Forums FTW!) see if we get any interest.

Glad to see you're still in the forum and club mate, just wish we could get the forum busier but everyone seems to be over on Social media now.

Fingers crossed you've got it sorted. 👌

Got there in the end Simon, she's not 100% leak free & has a new headliner to boot, now the long list of other things to deal with, I'll get there though

Sorry to hear that Dave, been in the same boat myself for a while now on the health front which sucks & limits our ability to get anything done, we moved 8 years back after a few previous moves in the previous 5 years & I don't envy you, moving is stresful mate.

Yep I am still on here, not half as frequently as I should be in all honesty, but I am rather lacking when it comes to mechanical things & find it difficulat & daunting at times, I wish I were more naturally mechanically gifted, but you can't be good at everything, I have managed to sort the leaks of which there were far to many as well as replace the hedliner, but I have an odd area of corrosion I am going to post about later.

nice to see you still on here though Dave

i am by no means an og user of this forum, only just discovered it a couple months ago as i just got my first car (mb3), but i'm also pretty bummed about how dead this seems to be nowadays. lots of good information on here about these cars which is very useful for people like me who just got my first car and is trying to get into the hobby and learn to mod/repair/fix stuff without any prior experience or mechanical skill whatsoever. unfortunately though it seems like my member account won't be approved and registered any time soon (it's been 4 months so i'm gonna try again with a new email) so i cannot access certain parts of the forum that i think could be useful to me. still a great source of information nonetheless considering the apparent lack of documentation of these cars compared to other civic models, however it kinda sucks that it's as inactive as it is now that i finally got myself a civic and keep having questions about it. the facebook groups are alright but i feel like they're oversaturated with "BREAKING!!!1!1!" posts and i also enjoy the sort of anonymity that a forum like this provides rather than having my full identity on display every time i have a question about something lol.

Hi mate. I've had a look at your profile and as far as I can see it's approved. @Dave any idea?
