jeangabriel
Project: Honda Civic VTEC 1.6i MB4 (Silver)History: Original car bought from a dealer with no mods about 2 months ago. Decided on a SOHC VTEC because they're a great balance on power vs petrol consumption.Plans: Create a clean car with tasteful modifications slammed to the deck.. No RICE.. If I can pull it off, I'd like to have it turbo'd by the end of 2011.Modified so far: Replaced airbox with Powertec AirfilterGAZ coil overs (fully adjustable ride height and dampers - picked up a set on eBay for £400 and they fit perfectly!)17" INOVIT EVO EV32 Alloy WheelsHere are some pics:Air filter installed (I hit VTEC everyday just to listen to it... mmmh)GAZ Coilies install - thank God for friends and hot tea because this took a while...Whoops.. maybe needs to be raised a touch higher.. FYI we took it for a test ride at this height, its a great way of squashing ants but need a new exhaust now.. Few adjustments and sitting a little better:Here she is in all her slammed glory:

jalesi2001
Nice one bud, looks a lot better with the bigger wheels!! What are the next plans for her? A spoiler on the boot would make the rear look better for next to no dosh!!

jeangabriel
Thanks chaps.. I'm glad you like so far. Been so much fun working on the car - they really p1ss easy to play with!I literally spent weeks and weeks looking at wheels, a bit obsessive compulsive actually.. White wheels are a bold choice but I reckon they make the car look really good... Next on the list is a VTI lip I bought from Kern on Civic5 for £25 - and unbelievably its in my colour! Gotta be the cheapest mod ever! (Thanks Kern - you legend)I also plan on modding the headlamps to have the indicators fully amber-fied.. like this: I need a second set of headlights to play with. Anyone got a set for sale?Do you think doing an amber conversion on tailights would look good? Anyone good at photoshop? Post a pic! I think my brake calipers need a coat of paint too, they look pretty brown at the mo.Other than those mods, I'm saving up to get my car turbo'd. Richard (civicturbo79) and I are talking over some turbo options but it may be several months before I can get the cash together... I figure you live once, might as well do it with a turbo... jeangabriel
Actually, they have these wheels in gunmetal grey as an option.. I reckon they would look just as good really - but I like going against the grain a bit, hence white wheels.
Dave
can't beat white wheels................but then I'm biased lol She looks amazing mate, really like what you've done so far! To get orange rear indicators is dead easy, just get the tailights off the pre-facelift Civic MA8, MA9 or MB1 (1.6SR)
