They all look the same, share engines and use the same chassis!

New cars are just bland and uniqueness is disappearing! Plus a throttle cable is far nicer than drive-by-wire!

Definately, as a kid I used to know all the cars by shape and even sound, but now quite often I have to 2nd guess or see the badge to be certain what it is, too much badge engineering. My dad used to say he could tell the old BMC cars coming up the street Riley / Wolseley just by the engine note or gearbox whine! (so did I with my old Mini or Mk1 Fiesta) Gone are the good old days (and I'm only 30!!) :-)

take the civic mb/mc they are now getting on abit now but the soft touch dash in ours has a far better feel over some of the drab plastics in new cars... and if you watched wheeler dealers the other night.......... how many time were the error codes reset

Everything is now built down to a price and the engines are so restricted because fuel economy and emissions are the most important things to sell new cars now. :(

Although saying that, GT86 [smitten.gif]

What f**k me off the most is too many electric sensors etc bring back the twin carbs lol

I do love the sound of a pair of side draught webers. drool.gif1
