KiNK43
well i found the leak. looks tiny but it was enough to make a bit of a mess! you can see the bubbles between where the two pipes exit the heat exchanger...there was congealed coolant sticky all over everything...so to make myself happy i carbon wrapped the heater panel... KiNK43
yes im tempted to solder it im a gas plumber afterall. just dont want it go again in the future. i can get a used replacement for 25 quid locally. so may just do that.then again wont hurt to try solder it. i could pressure it up and see how it holds. KiNK43
Dunno. Id imagine there's a bit.I'll cut some copper tomorrow and try soldering the hole then solder a piece of copper over the top of it. Just seriously don't ever want to do this again.Does anyone know what antifreeze should go in? I had like a neon pink antifreeze from halfords in, said it was suitable for mixed metal systems. Just wondering if that's been eating away at the copper.
