I think the revs issue is hunting, sounds like it, I'd check the sensor is tight and just poke around in general to make sure everything else is ok.

today i have installed the remote locking. i have been using the key and scratching my door for around a year no so i am over the moon to have the luxury of remote locking.

one bizaar thing i have noticed is that when i switch off the ignition it creates an unlock signal. and the doors try to unlock. not sure if this is normal. but i cant see where its installed wrong, its spot on.

but i can live with it.

i have already been in touch with a welder to have a look at it. rust is my worst enemy. strange its inside the car but the outer sill seems solid!

Where inside is that!?

Most alarms will lock the doors at something like 10mph as an anti-hijack feature so it's normal for it to try and unlock, see if there's a way to enable to locking feature, then you won't have to worry about it unlocking when it's already open

yes its the drivers footwell right in front of the door. i have noticed a little hole appearing in the wheel arch area aswell. poo!

well it will be repaired before you know it. i have a leaky windscreen i believe. thaught it was sunroof but think it is windscreen. no matter what i do i cant stop the leak, so thats probably the culpret.

thanks, your right it is anti hijac type thing. i can disable it by removing one connection. i rang the manufacturer and they cleared that up for me. maybe they should mention it in the instructions???

welding being done week on sat. thatll be a relief!

gonna have a good look round and check that there isnt any more.

then i think i am going to "accidentally" drop a hammer on my windscreen and get that replaced. and take car for a full underbody wash and underseal.
