Haha.

Well one things ticked off the list. But more things crop up.

Welding is all done. Am now adding seam welded chassis to my list of mods! Even if it is onlY one corner.

Whilst doin this we had the seats out and carpet up. Noticed that I have a coolant leak inside the car.which is nice. And also the passenger footwell is absolutely soaked!!! Need to investigate..

Heater intake maybe blocked??? Dunno.

Brightside though I have got a replacement ring for the rear Tein. Only cost 17 quid for a big nut. Bargain!!! :?

well ive been very busy. i have stripped out the entire interior. the carpet was drenched. so i took it out and dried it.

in the mean time i took the sill covers off and blasted wax into every orifice to try and kerb the moisture problem that has caused the rust.

i believe it to be the windscreen that is leaking so i pulled out the trims and filled the corners of the windscreen with silicone hopefully as a temporary fix until i can get a new windscreen.

i took the scuttle panel off and sprayed wax inside .

i have properly cleaned all my seats while they were out and now they look spanking. also found £1.35 and enough backy for at least 2 cigs!

now the problem, seat belt bolt was stubborn to come out so i decided to leave it and cut the carpet around it.

thing is i needed to turn it back in now the carpets back in and the yep you guessed it, the bolt sheared off!!!

any ideas what i can do to resolve this???

i can only assume that the bolt has been cross threaded possibly from the day it was made?? but now i have no passenger seatbelt and half the bolt is stuck in the hole!

:o is it in the door seat belt side if so remove outer sill think the bolt head is there you will need to drill it out

or weld a nut on it and remove from there  think it is anyway :?

yes it is. poo. im not doing very well.

ill have to take another look tomorow. hmmm maybe if i actually remove the seat belt real inside the pillar i may be able to get to it. drill it out and put a long bolt with a nut the other side.

they are lock tightened in i believe so most likely its been in there so long its fused, i would suggest that u can either, drill it out but u will have problems coz i think those bolts are hardened so u will need proby a diamond coated tip drill, dont bother with a stud extracter your proby break that too lol

if that fails, drill another hole, or cut it out and make a new plate, or just dont have a passenger anymore lol :P

use a pin punch to mark your centre... start a fine drill bit in the middle...then drill/work your way up.... tap n die set will do the trick...
