VTEye
Get a Golf GT TDI 130 bhp for that sort of money, they go to about 170 bhp with a remap, fast and economical.
jamestopdog
No mate! Had a bora 150 tdi and a golf 130 tdi, to many related problems, main reason ai vowed never to buy german again, had a primera 7 years before the golf not one problem, golf was in the workshop non stop, clutch, flywheel, turbo, intimettant starting (never sortd it!) , various sensors, some expensive!Cut me in half and ill have the rising sun running through the middle of me (Although tbh honest mate I did love the drive of the golf thats why I spent so much keeping it going!)

Mr Brown
i know its hard to buy a slow car mate. i have hated doing it when we had to a few times, i thought the same when we got our MB3 untill we had her for a month or so and i was sure she was a good one and vtec'ed her, she may only have 115bhp but she makes it feel like a lot more... jamestopdog
Hmmm your right mate, should just put practicality first, im doing £60' in fuel a week. Plus still got the mb4 for a bit of fun Yeah were only running small bhp but vtec makes up for it!
KiNK43
I don't think a k swapped jazz will be all that economical. What about a suzuki swift, I was also going to suggest ep shape civ, my mate is going to look at a 1.6 sport this week, pretty gutless, so I'm told but looks very nice and should get 40+mpg.Or a Nissan Note.Unfortunately I have to report 1.6 ep civic is pretty poor on fuel. My eg is much better if driven sensibly. 40 mpg is easily achieved in the eg on motorway.Ep is more like 35 mpg. 25 round the town.

Really? That's not good, I think he's got his heart set on it now though. Epic, decision made I think.
