So one of my rear wheels is caked in brake rust because the brake pad is dead. Getting new pads on Friday but how do I rescue my wheel? Alloy wheel cleaner foam did eff all. :(

My front wheels are always covered, its really annoying! I use brake cleaner and then pressure wash it. Then use very strong wheel cleaner and wash it with hot water.

A bit overkill lol

Bilberry is a good strong acid free wheel cleaner, can be used neat or diluted.

IronX is more for iron deposits that have adhered to the wheels or paint and should really be used after you've got the worst off.

Try some IronX?

Just looked it up, sounds like that's what I need. Cheers!

Worth it though, looking at your pictures. :P

I'll check Bilberry out too. Thanks!

Finally got a decent shot of my Civics together. :D I'd love to park the MB3 there all the time but I'm unfortunately blocking the neighbour's drive and if I back up I'll be blocking my other neighbour.

Also if you look carefully, you can see how caked in brake rust my rear wheel is. :( Getting it IronX'd when the weather is a little brighter.

So much stuff I can do to that EP. Turn it into a 4 door Type R replica ;)

Damn that wheel looks like it's been attacked by the brake dust...

I had quite a lot planned for it but unfortunately I won't be keeping it for much longer. All I've done to it is an eBay induction kit and a couple of stickers.

Yeah it looks awful. :(
