What I haven't mentioned here is that the sills are so far gone that the side skirts are holding them in place at the moment. The cost to fix is about the same as a whole new car. The best thing to do is let it go.

The time has come to say goodbye to the MB3. She's battered and bruised but the only thing she'd fail the MOT on is the sills, which sadly no longer exist. Current MOT expires tomorrow which gives me enough time to send her down to her final resting place on my parents' driveway, where she'll be broken for parts to keep my MB6 and many other Hondas alive for a bit longer. :) I will have her replacement tomorrow.
