Roj
#ShedLife I only need the car to last until December. How do I stop the leak on the cheap?
Jayhoath83
Is it leaking through the sump or from higher up
Roj
Chewing gum. Orbit sugar-free? Is it leaking through the sump or from higher up It's coming out from the drain bolt. It's slow enough that I can just top up the oil and it should last until Christmas but it's leaving small oil spills everywhere which isn't nice. Shafzzz
3M tape a dinner tray to your sump, that should work! Or make an under-car oil catch can, so scene.
Roj
Ptfe tape on the bolt thread dude. That'll hold for a bit! I'll look into it! 3M tape a dinner tray to your sump, that should work! Or make an under-car oil catch can, so scene. I actually wonder if something can be made so the oil dripping out just gets fed back into the engine. Roj
It's stopped leaking now and it has some oil in the sump still. I guess it didn't want to be spaffed on so it fixed itself.
