vtec2011
I have resprayed the chrome grill surround before but it didn't last. 2 coats of primer and 3 coats of black paint. After 2 months, the surround was chipped and stoned to death! I was thinking of giving a few coats of lacquer to give it a hard finish and protection? Or am I better off plasti-dipping or carbon wrap it? Cheers!
powerofdreams
It's a tricky question mate. I'd say wrap it but. This might not b best way. U should c bout setting up a poll
Mr Brown
Agreed set up a pole because i would say if you sprayed it properly and lacquered it it should last just like the rest of our cars do from the factory

vtec2011
I panted mine, it chipped after less than six months.I then wrapped it. Been like it ever since. Does the wrap fade over time by the sun?
Grant
I've sprayed mine. Month down the line and it's still looks good.
Krzys
I think with painting as long as you lacquer it after it should be as good as you could want! Wrapping probably depends on how well you do it too! Plastidip seems to be the easiest way but don't expect a smooth and shiney finish! NIKH25
I panted mine, it chipped after less than six months.I then wrapped it. Been like it ever since. Mine has a couple of chips in it too but I don't want to wrap it so more lacquer I think.
NIKH25
I think plastidip might be the easiest to use and give you the option to change easily but if you have the paint already then I'd do that.
feck_on_a_stick
What about giving the chrome trim a rub with wet and dry or something to give the paint something better to stick to?
