  1. So managed to stumble across a true bargin the other week. as knight called them Hen's Teeth! Optional Extra OEM Fog Lamps. Saw a add on ebay for a front bumper and in the bumper were the fogs. I dont think the guy knew what they where because once I offered him £30 he had them posted to me straight away. should fit them this weekend along with repairing my rear Tyre thanks to a pot hole, hoping it hasn't damaged my rim and only deflated the tyre. Fingers cross! either way what ever the weather i will upload a couple photos of the car with her new VTIS kit on as i need your amazing opinions and thoughts

Here's the difference: Before - http://www.d-series.org/forums/showcase/89509-ek3-civic-hatch.html#post1217683 After - http://www.d-series.org/forums/showcase/89509-ek3-civic-hatch-2.html#post1244654 The dyno is for mini me and D16Z6 intake manifold combined. You gain 9 hp up top, lots of torque in low rpm and the only downside - lower MPG. Don't change the complete head, it's pointless unless you want to rebuild the engine. Z8 head casting is the same as Y8. Just change camshaft, rockers and springs. You also need adjustable cam gear and Z6 injectors.

  3. Got the flange tig welded onto the decat,gave it a polish up and fitted it tonight. Cars still quiet on idle and now has a little rasp once vtec engages, it's not overly loud which is what I wanted. Seems to pull better now too have to get a decent manifold at some point.

  5. You guessed right Almost all threads here are for B series for which I don't know much. That's why when I see a thread for D-series I shoot right away Yep, the head casting is the same as Y8 which is awesome. It's a pity that we can't use the roller rockers though when changing camshaft. Getting rid of the 12valve mode helps with low rpm torque. You can see in the dyno, you gain 47nm in 2000rpm, 11nm in 2500 rpm and 5nm in 3000rpm. Before the mini me the ECU was stock. Only cai + header. And about my engine, I'm still collecting funds for a remap. All the necessary parts for a mini me are in a box waiting for me. D16Z6 head will be a better choice but D16Y8 is still very good

  6. Ha is it too much to say I think I'm keeping the Royal Mail in business?? Postie round my way is certainly being kept busy. Can you spot all the goodies??? I will give one away though, big thanks to Krzys for the clock bulbs!! Also have a 180 MGZS RR ARB being collected by courier tomorrow, managed to get them down to £8.00!!!! Was well impressed!! That the rr ARB for £28.00 all in!!

  10. Ha I just thought about that!! Will look a little odd lol. Jury spoke to him, will go up Saturday morning to see it. Apparently it's a little untidy (clutter) and dirty, but he'll clean it up for Saturday.

EmZvr: Your last comment about replacing whole head unless your rebuilding mad me happy as my plans are to have the bottom end rebuilt then replace head with the same as mentioned in this thread..

  18. That's a shame dude! So the commute isn't going to be 1000miles a day then, plus I prefer how petrol cars deliver power, though modern dervs are really refined these days, they still all sound the same when you're poking them!

  20. This leak in the passenger foot well seem to come and go! One thing I do know for sure, it isn't coolant. So I guess its not the heater matrix? Not sure but its not leaking now anyway... And yes! I have picked up a D16Y8 head! Obviously I got to do a lot of research, getting bits and pieces together and find a P28 or P30 ecu, but is it worth doing a head conversion? Is it really worth the hassle? I have seen a lot of people do it to D14, D15 and non vtec motors but dunno yet, I will have a long think about it So, I got a: D16Y8 cylinder head D16Z6 inlet manifold D16Z6 exhaust manifold which is currently fitted

  21. 2014 is a big year for my MB. Decided that as i'm keeping the car for another few years it must get a revamp. List as follows; Meister R coilovers....bought + fitted Skunk 2 Front Arms....bought + fitted D2 Rear lca's....bought + fitted D2 rear camber kit....bought + fitted Rota Grid V 16" Alloys....sent back Front arches rolled Rear Spoiler New custom exhaust tip (to match the contour of the rear spoiler) Full clay and polish Maybe skunk 2 manifold and dc2 cams later in the year...maybe!

  22. Just cut off the pin that doesn't fit, won't fall out with just one pin, had to do that myself a few years back, not because of Dr BHM Esq though!

Thanks all been hard work with set backs a long the way and thanks for your kind words all the Ms are looking fantastic and its good to see a model of honda that got a lot of flack for being boring and not a true honda ( it's as much honda as an ep,fn,ek is ) .
