Oh my god. I am absolutely lost for words. I thought he'd been doing so well. So sad and I can't imagine what his family is going through. Thoughts are with them. Nick was an absolutely top bloke. Was one of the first on here to make people feel welcome. Really did out himself out to make me feel welcome on here. We've had loads of conversations via threads and PM. Such a knowledgeable chap and always helped out and shared his experiences. He will most certainly and genuinely be missed. Civic5 have lost one of it's most prominent members. Today is a sad day.

Whoa!! Haven´t updated this in a while lol. Lots of things happend to mb6 in this time but, mostly were maintenance ones: -All belts, even cam belt -Valve adjusment -New kit of headgasket seals (it was leaking oil outside, and in to the sparkplugs too) -Left lower engine mount (was completely destroyed), this solved some of the handling issues of the car too And the rear lower control arms bushings were completely destroyed also, and were changed too, resulting in a driveable car at least!!!!! Now it doesnt want to kill me in almost every corner hahaha Also a friend gave to me two front 2 piston calipers off a honda legend, wich happens to be a perfect fit!!! It even uses the same brake pads!! Some test fitting: They need some cleaning, and im waiting to buy new brake fluid and brake pads to install them. aaaaaaaaaaanddd, here´s the big mod! Bixenon Projectors, with angel eyes and red led inside, i think they look amazing. I have to say, dynochips inspired me with his amazing headlights !!! Some more headlight pr0n for you mates: Spanish shed-made-in-5-minutes oven with a heat gun blowing air inside lol Hope you like them, ill have more photos when i get the xenon kit, and solve some wiring for the angel eyes. Also if anyone is interested i could make a little how to, with how we made them!

Oh no what awful sad news, just saw a thing on Facebook where his car is hoing to be for sale, quickly checked on here fearing the worst and there we have it. Really gutted he was a top guy and always offering help whenever he could, he really stood for what Civic5 is, full of genuine nice people that want to help each other RIP man, and im going to help your wife partner in any way I can to make sure the car goes to a worthy owner

The jist from what I could make out is a2 head on C4 bottom end lowers compression, swap C4 pistons for a2 pistons to raise it. Not sure what end result over standard C4 would be. I think boost is the easier option for our cars! So leaning this way with my future plans!

I think adding an a2 head to c4 bottom lowers compression too much .. But i dunno !!! I honeslty dont see the benefits outwiegh the downs and the amount of work needed! Type r cams in our head, boosted and your laughing ...

I can get springs fitted by a friend of a friend for cheap. I might spend a little more on quality springs and then I can run them for as long as it takes to save for Meisters.

Was going to say thats not the 2.2, that makes a little more sense Its supposed to be a really good engine actually the little 1.6 ! They even put it in the CRV! I think the tourer is only coming with the 1.6 derv and 1.8 petrol atm ..

Cheers folks much appreciate the comments. It was my first swap and trying to finding info on this kind of swap was abit difficult so it took abit time to do lol but heyho I got there in end. You would be surprised how quick it is for the b16 in the bigger shell, I could pull on my mates mb6 up to about 100 then he starts pulling on me. I'll get a video of it going for you all to see. UnicyclingTom you the one that said about a build a thread on the Facebook page?. We used an engine lift to get it out, the fork was to dump the engine in the van for the trip to the scrappies 😂😂

Must! I spent about £50 on my HID kit, seems to be working sweet so far but they've had less than an hour of use as of yet!

Haven't done anything with it for a while dude. Going to do cambelt, tensioner and water pump next weekend and then change the dizzy over again. If that doesn't solve it, JBH do a head gasket for £56 delivered so will be getting that and putting y spare head on lol. I'll then rebuild this one

Hopefully its just the nipples, you'll be suprised what air a dodgy nipple can let in from a small fracture, when done up tight the crack opens more but when in your hand under no pressure you will struggle to notice it

I'm just off the phone to Dave and sarah. Sarah got a message from his wife too. i just cant believe this, he was doing so well. A genuinely nice guy who's been a member here for a long time. It feels like losing a member of the family, which to me and civic5, we have. He's going to be such a big loss to the civic5 team aswell, just so hard to take this in. We'll be setting up a donation system tonight for him and his family. I'll post it up in the latest news and on the sidebar, so please feel free to make a donation folks. It's going to be a very hard time for his family, so we want the club to help as much as we can.

At least got the front bumper and right wing repainted, and both headlights polished and lacquered : She looks happy now haha. Now im waiting for other headlights, for converting them to bixenon, with black interior, and then i will de-chrome the front grill finally!
