  1. I've always done mine in high temp before. But my Q is, has anyone done it in regular gloss paint? And has it lasted? Was a special primer used? I see all the time these fantastic rocker covers bad find it hard to believe they're all done in high temp paints.
  2. Such a shitter mate. Feeling for you. Pain in the arse. I'm still voting on a fuel issue though.
  3. Look ok mate. Good points above to find out about regarding service etc. FYI I just bought my deck, admittedly without the VTis lip kit, but only 78k on an R plate in great condition with FSH and with no rust for £995
  4. I sense you have still not quite recovered. Remember, healing takes time. Cheers for the input mate, when you say lethal, do you mean under spirited driving, or regular?
  5. Don't think I even wanna know what you had to do for a discount
  6. I used to use khumos a lot years ago, haven't had any in a long time though. Any links to the sports?
  7. For the price mate, I think I have to!!
  8. Cheers mate. I'm just weighing it up and can't really see any significant draw backs of going down to 50's
  9. Nicely pointed out mate thank you. Nick said above he uses these, what would you say about the wet weather performance Nick?
  10. Think I might look at going down to 50's then.
  11. Yeah I've noticed they're cheaper mate lol. I've used camskill before now and always been impressed with their prices and service. Did you notice a change in handling characteristics when going down to the 50's???
  12. Ok so I'm biting the bullet and am returning the originals, I'lleave the colour a secret for now, but should look pretty cool when done. I then have the decision to make as to what to do with tyres, the tyres that were originally on the car, and now on the dc2 alloys, there is a matching pair upfront, and an odd pair on the back... So I was thinking buying another matching pair so at least they'll match side to side. They are currently the standard size, 195/55 15's. My question is this, would it be worth considering buying a full set of 4 with the lower profile? So take it down to 50's ?? Have people run this size of tyre?? And if so, what are the pro's n con's?? Your opinions as always are appreciated
  13. It's an easy job getting them off though! Only two 10mm IIRC
  14. Is definitely pointing towards a fuelling issue mate. Unfortunately.
  15. This car is just incredible. This would definitely be worth it.
  16. There we go, that's a much better price than new ones!!
  17. This is coming along nicely! Can't wait to see it finished!!
  18. can't see the pick mate. But cutting the wheel off seems excessive. Surely you can get a big old 2 foot bar on it and crack it off? Even if the nut cracks, it's then still off. Then just buy a new stud & nut.
