Don't take this thread seriously Dave, it was opened for us all to have a bit of fun with regards to hatch v deck owners and the banter that is clearly there. I like decks the have been modified, I have said that a few times. Tom and I are posting fun pics to amuse our fellow members. This thread is not personal or seriously questioning people's choice in buying cars! This thread has shown a healthy interest in Decks, as the poll shows. And that hatch owners enthusiasm for their own cars...is poor.

The hatch boys are quiet as they already know the hatch doesn't need defending. The deck dad's however, have to justify why they bought em!

I said earlier that I liked the modded ones as they do look nice. It's the standard shape that I find hard to appreciate! It's like the car designer took his payment and then took his blueprints to the pub to finish it...but didn't....came home and his 4 year old daughter finished the blueprints off for him! Their uncle was probably a glazier and was instantly a millionaire with those rear quarter windows!

Hatch owners have let me down on this one! The popularity for the deck seems to be swinging more towards the practicality for most people. Mostly family men that have to have a car with a boot. Kind of a forced option for some people? Bit like the fathers who buy a vauxhall Zafira turbos cause they have to have the space but need fun in their lives. Seems looks just doesn't matter to some hence aerodeck cluttering up the roads!

What a nice write up there! That's what I was kinda meaning when talking about looks etc. Only once there modded a wee bit do they look nice! As for the figures....They mean nothing in the real world! Just threw that in there and hid behind my screen!
