Sorry, wasn't making out it is all you! I think it was Marko that had the same thoughts as you and ribbed me a few months back. Grant 'liked' your post so he must think along those lines as well. Many more may think it's wrong to enter your own car and that could put a downer on COTM. I entered mine as it's a bit of fun and if you don't get a vote then theres next month. Need to re-think my car from self-entering now. -

I was typing my thoughts as you had posted yours. I will not enter mine again if people wont vote on those grounds. Shame really. -

I have has this discussion before Tom, I entered mine a couple of times and someone said along the same lines as you. I think it is wrong that you are put off because someone entered their own car. For example, I have put alot of time and money and effort getting my car right but had no-onoe enter my Mb into COTM. I DO NOT EXPECT IT but if the car owner loves their car and wants to let others vote on it then why try and put them off entering when they may NEVER get the chance to get a vote. Just my thoughts. **edit** If the majority of people think like Tom then the mods should change the rules so that the COTM is for peoples cars to be entered by others. -

Comparing M's: My other pal drove both Ruby and my civic that day as John (ruby owner) said for him to compare them. The drive: Ruby was first. We had to keep telling him to drop a gear and rev it past 7000rpm! He loved it as it was first time driving vtec! It handled the bumps well and really is a great car to drive. Mine was next, he could not believe they were the same car on the same suspension! He was advised to avoid drain covers near the kerbs and watch for potholes! My car is built for my needs as track car and fun toy as well as a daily. He loved thrashing it and having the noise and rawness of it all with the low seats and go kart steering wheel. He giggled most of the journey and it brought out the inner child in him as he was holding revs at 6000rpm but not in Ruby! Verdict: He said that he could not drive mine as a daily but he could drive Ruby daily no problem. He now understands why i love driving my car on the camping roadtrips that we all have. THE END -

Get a car you can enjoy and afford at the same time. Being a car enthusiast, you need a car that makes you enjoy the drive. The miles you put into going to each meet must mean you enjoy driving an M....if it does, then buy your blooming sought after Deck! -

Deck time again? -
I ordered a stopper for £32 of eBay. Seller bought and never fitted so brand new but opened. Good deal! I said I've stopped modding but as it's a track car, I need functional mods like stopper and discs.I so ordered 12 grooved Black Diamond discs to replace me shafted Mtec ones!

My vehicle has perfectly proportioned lines thank you very much Mr Greenhouse!

Does the stopper make a difference @domandmel ? I have mtec discs all round and need front discs as they are completely shafted. Tramlines on them and pedal kicking back etc due to the warptness of the discs. Are Black Diamond discs any good peeps?
-
That's a trend to which us hatch owners probably think it's crap and avoided metal plates! Anyhow, i have custom chopped plates, so it's a no thank you from my end!
-
We're onto metal number plates being hip now?! As if the decks need any more metal added to them.....

That's why I hate Pistonheads! Unfriendly site. People looking at this page will understand that we love our cars...no matter what the banter.
