That is strange :/
-
Well years and years ago I had a silver mb6 and replaced the front cv joint that had abs ring on it. It was wrong but fitted ok. Looks like the same for the rear! Just need to find out what the other car is that fits the mb6!
-
Good info mate! I have emailed a couple of eBay sellers and asked them to count the teeth, along with the guy that supplied me the wrong one to compare them!
-
Does anyone have an old hub lying around that they could count the teeth from? I have searched through the works skip full of truck parts and oily rags n crap to find my old hub, but nothing! Saves me having to strip down the other side to see and count teeth! i want to cry!
-
Same as mine! Turned out it was the air vent on the n/s that was letting water in, which in resulted in condensation which made the o/s drip into the boot well. Feckin leaks!
-
I've now got to find my old hub in a skip full of truck parts tomorrow as I'm at work. Going to count the abs ring teeth n compare them. In fairness the eBay seller phoned me within 10 mins of email. He is happy to solve issue but does that doesn't help my time and effort.
-
I have opened a case with the seller in the hope of a new part and discount for labour (even though i fitted it myself) Fed up with people not caring about selling stuff.

After some digging i found this advert stating NOT FOR AERODECK! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HONDA-CIVIC-1-8-VTI-VTEC-1995-2001-REAR-WHEEL-BEARING-HUB-KIT-NEW-/270430089442?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3ef6e3b0e2 Thinks i have been supplied an aerodeck one as the abs is coming in too early which would be the abs ring being wrong. The advert in the one i bought says INCLUDING AURODECK models! Ffs! Why can't things go right for me either?
-
I have replaced my o/s/r hub assy (bearings went again). I have now found that my brakes seem 'strange'. It's as if the ABS kicks in too early on heavy braking. I have a feeling that they have supplied my with a hub with different ABS ring/teeth on it. The advert on fleabay said the MB and Aurodeck had the same hubs...is that true?

Is breaking not a major headache though? When I crashed my accord and got it back, I vowed never to break a car again as I was taking wiper blades and relays out for people! The car was kept in my mates car yard and had to go take parts off on my way to work. Not practical. Too much time and effort, esp posting the stuff for little profit! Just my experience but people that do it for a living and have space to keep the car then it ain't a bad money maker!

Burbleboy's VTi-S Build **NOW SOLD 16/12/15**
burbleboy replied to burbleboy's topic in Honda Civic MA/MB/MC
Yeah mate, going to go with the same as i had ordered before and same as Dinochips.....195/45/16 or 195/40/16 +20 ET and 8j. As Dinochips made it possible then i shall give it another go as those wheels are my favourite by a mile. Difference being that i have adjustable front and back options now, something i didn't have when i bought em. I won't be going mad stanced, as i'm running -2 rear camber the now, it shouldn't be to far off fitting with just arch rolling. If arches need flaring then i will cross that bridge when i arrive at it! Plan is to buy one wheel and tyre and use that as a fitment guide. That way i don't have the added pressure of the intitial outlay of £700+ for wheels n tyres. One step at a time on this build. -
Burbleboy's VTi-S Build **NOW SOLD 16/12/15**
burbleboy replied to burbleboy's topic in Honda Civic MA/MB/MC
As per modified title! £60 from ebay, used once (as they always are) so thought it was a good deal. Plan is to roll my arches properly rather than my planned baseball bat method. This is primarily to save paint cracking. I shall be buying x1 alloy and tyre later to then use as 'scrubbing guide' before buying the rest of them! Funds are tight as new kitchen getting done next month, so plan is to buy one wheel/tyre at a time whenever paid. And yes, Rota Grid V project back on (thanks Dinochips) But it will be a longer process though as priorities are house at the minute! -

There you go! My findings were right!

I missed this thread also! Like the story behind it. Love the colour combo so please keep it as it's unique! I had bought Eibach springs with mgzs shockers and they worked really well. When the shockers started to make noise i thought 'b****r it' and bought some Meisters to save faffing about...what a difference like you say! Expensive but a B road killer! Like your setup/height mate. I changed mine from same height all round, then to the rear slightly higher than the front. Found that it turned in much better having the front a wee bit lower.

Speed Equip Aerodeck Vti-s **Breaking complete car ** 02/18
burbleboy replied to 10000rpm's topic in Honda Civic MA/MB/MC
Cracking build mate! Really like the tidy engine bay! Spoiler a peach too! -
I knew it was from 2012 but thought you still ran that setup!
-
It may be easy for some, but the risk of f00cking your engine is just not worth the hassle for £50 odd quid! The pictures you posted with regard to Crome and the injector settings....all that seems double dutch to me

Exactly Well said

Hamza's silver MB3 - 07/08/2014 - Red rocker cover
burbleboy replied to h4mza's topic in Honda Civic MA/MB/MC
Nice job on the carbon wrap mate! Looks even proffessional! Hope the de-cat fits ok. -
Oh go on then....i'll have one also!

I really don't know! If I get OEM discs then my rear grooved and dimpled would look out of place (yeah I know I'm sad for caring bout that!) And changing rear discs is more cash when there fine. I think a pair of grooved fronts only is a the answer...what ones is a mystery!
