Cool mate! I think £80 + vat is not that bad actually so better to be safe than sorry!
-
Here you go: Rear Caliper (remanufacture) Pentland was £78.86 + vat with old unit back. Dingbro £80 + vat with old unit back.
-
Got full refund from Eurocar parts and then emailed Pentland Components. They emailed me quick and had a great price! I also priced one from Dingbro and they were the same with my trade discount so went with them. Its right across the road from my work so saves me petrol money than going into Edinburgh to Pentland! Intrestingly, Dingbro said Pagid used to be a good make until they sold the name rights and now any old crap is being churned out under Pagids name. He said the motorsport section is still genuine Pagid but customer components are hit or miss. That would explain all the crap calipers that can't bleed properly. He ordered a TSW caliper (which i think was original to my car) so that should be sorted once and for all. Caliper saga was getting me down, can now change calipers blindfolded Thanks @Dave for info
-
How long till the big reveal? Ask Santa for tyres, a month early, and your sorted!
-
Yeah was going to give them a phone yesterday but was then wondering if the mg/400 was the same caliper, incase Dingbro have them more readily available as i get good trade discount via my work
-
Sorry mate, forgot the camera mount info was posted elsewhere. Here you go: http://civic5.com/forum/topic/9483-burbleboys-last-roadtrip-of-2014/ You will soon understand Tom's comment

It's quite strange as Dave said the lights were at green on way up the hill, Unless they stalled in 3rd as they had no reason to be in stalling position!! We will never know!

Yes indeed, the calipers are sh*t! Does anyone know if this will fit: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121404503337?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Speaking to @Dave yesterday on xbox, he had mentioned that he had been supplied the wrong rear caliper for Ruby and that the caliper was almost identical to old one? Any thoughts if there IS a difference between models? We do list rover 400/MG here: http://civic5.com/forum/topic/199-helpful-list-of-mbmc-parts/ but was wondering if there is any slight differences anyone knows about? p.s I have already ordered x2 feckin Pagid calipers from Eurocar Parts and both been returned due to not being able to get a decent pedal after bleeding 5/6 times. But once I fitted old duff caliper back on, i have a decent pedal! Weird stuff. I am not after a Pagid caliper hence looking at MG stuff.

Here to help

I bought my 'Sparco' wheel off ebay for around £40. No complaints from me!
-
Cheers Tom, We liked it that much (even in the rain) that we may do the same run next year. Gopro camera battery went flat only half way round the run. There were many good roads and footage to be had. I will buy second battery for quickness.
-
Using a gopro would be a pain tho as it won't keep re-recording and just eats up memory until you have to change/delete memory car every few trips!
-
I have put this in the videos section for people to find it easier. Or mods can delete one and move it into video section?
-
Yeah mate, a gopro 2 with external suction motorsport mount with external mic at rear number plate.

Roadtrip video The Fiddlers Run:
-
When it's happened to me they just block the whole video! The soundtrack is kinda important as it adds feel to the video!
-
150bhp and got torque! That's me just edited the footage into one 13 minute long video. Overall the weather was pants but it still did not deter us from having a great time! One of the first back roads we travelled was really bad in some places, so we will leave that out next time we go. I have not included that particular road as I cringe at my suspension noises! All the cars were driven hard but fair, the roads were simply outstanding fun! The footage may raise a few eye brows but at no point was any car 'on the edge'. I hope youtube won't ban the video as I have included music to add to the experience! Await the link soon (takes ages as HD)
