  1. Update from Cadwell last month!

Finally got the videos sorted from the track day in April, just been so busy and not had time to edit the videos but here they are along with the professional photos.

Pretty good day all in all despite an issue mid morning, the slip-join on the decat manifold came open and the exhaust dropped to the floor, oops! Managed to get it welded up and back in time for the lunch break. Didn't have anymore problems in the day other than a talking to for noise (makes 105/6db on a static test!). Bung in the back box made it sound like a jet!

This one is when the manifold came apart!

You'll be a passenger again, believe me!

Do whatever you want mate, your car! Just don't expect everyone to always like your ideas and you'll be fine as long as you like it of course!

Aye, it's me own fault though really.. Had to change the other one for my last MOT and meant to get the other one changed after, but then promptly forgot all about it

£30 for a new one from j&r isn't bad though :) just a shame that my mech is off to Paris for a long weekend tomorrow.

    Sods law that!

On my old EK a shaft snapped while my brother owned it, told him I thought he should replace both if he doing one, about two weeks later the other side went!

I agree. The 335d however feels nimble as it is smaller but wider than my Accord.

The new Hondas are electric steering this, electric handbrake that. Totally takes the drivers aspect away from driving IMO.

The old Hondas are the opposite, fantastic cars that make you feel special and you have to work for the rewards! I have had loads of Honda's, now time for a change for a bit!

    I hear ya!

Isn't the BMW pretty much drive by wire?

That was the only initial let-down when I got the EP3, electric power steering but adding the LSD has weighted it up nicely, feels like it should!

I wouldn't go for any of the newer Civic's than mine.

This is my 1st bmw after a long relationship with Honda (7 of them). The Honda's are unique in the respect to their engines. No torque yes but from a drivers point of view, the B18 engines are fantastic, as is the handling, once modded. My Accord was built for looks, but soon realised i craved power and comfort. This is where the 335d steps in.

Its the small things that matter (says the wife!), the welcome lights under the door handles & angel eyes that welcome you when it unlocks. The two small amber down lights in the roof panel that gently light up the interior at night. Honda lacks the comfort and ingenuity of other makes.....in my opinion of course.

The new Hondas just dont do it for me.

Having said that, my MB6 VTi-S will ALWAYS be my favourite car....as im a driver at heart ;)

I've always ended up back with a Honda because it's got character and like you've mentioned, they're a drivers car.

I like creature comforts too but stuff like big dervs just don't keep my interest. Spent Saturday driving the old man's S Class, lovely motor, goes well (S320 CDi) but the autobox is too slow to react and its not really a lot of fun. Just an easy going cruiser with some punch.
