I have 205x40x17's and there is not a lot of room spare width wise (i am also on oem suspention) but as they for a zr they should go under your arches i would imagine, sorry i could nor answer for def though the wolfrace ones are 205 40 r17 and they would touch the arch if i dropped it. its all on the offset though so as you say as they are for an mg they should be the correct offset so they fit snug when its dropped

normally i buy something and i get it done straight away and its on (im very impatiant) as you can tell with the alloy thing haha. but yeah this is taking the michael now. hoping the guy says yes as i think they would look nice in black and hopefully i can lower the car a bit on them

so am i was ment to go up yesterday, turned out didnt have time. was gonna go up today. missus not well stayed in bed all day so i couldnt go up there as i had the kids no chance tomorrow as the missus has now gone work tonight, nightshift= bed all tomorrow so my next chance is monday, is taking the p**s now this, i keep wanting to go up but not getting the chance should have been on at least 3 weeks ago lol. ahh well things happen. right back to alloys lol. got another question. not been offered but iv offered on swapz.co.uk for some Mg zr 17" multispoke straight cuts. How well do they fit mb2? I know the pcd is fine etc but what about offset? Would I have problems? Iv noticed there quite wide wheels. there 2x 215/45 and 2x 225/45. any good?

Why not try getting the full size spare from 4 scrapped cars? how do alloys slow your car? Thats what I thought. Fair enough if there huge, heavy and real wide. But some alloys can help with acceleration and grip. A bit wider for grip and if the alloys are lighter then thats all good.

Hopefully go up today and either put spoiler on as it is or flatten it off a bit and lacquer it. Depends how it looks when I got there. Not seen it since I put last coat of paint on lol

yeah i seen yours with steelies on ya progress thread, ride height looks mint but the steelies do look rather silly with it. might get away with it on my car though as the cars a dark colour so the steelies wont stand out so much with trims removed

lol super dish. banded steelies that sort of style im not keen on, i like my multi spokes, 5 spoke and jdm styling, something sporty looking

not gonna bother with them astra ones, moment of madness yesterday i think. still after swapping the katanas though, just hope someone will swap. i mean i could arch roll but for the price of arch rolling i dont wanna spend that much to roll them to fit katanas lol. id rather use that money for something else. would diy roll but that would risk a c**k up and i dont want to c**k up over the sake of katanas lol you see where im going here lol. want rid of the katanas before i lower, even stock alloys would do for now just so i can lower, i would lower it on the steelies but i dont like the look of lowered cars on steel rims and if i but lowering springs or coilies then it will be a while until i can afford decent wheels. so im stuck in the middle hovering about now between wheels and lowering lol. but for time being im better off concentrating on the spoiler and painting other bits etc.......

looks like there 6j et49 (after some google search for a while lol. how will they fit? would they hit the arch if i lowered? there not to far away tbh though so may just get them to come here n try them on

done a very quick photoshop. not the best so didnt save it lol. did the sri wheels same colour as i did the katanas (gun metal grey) and with it lowered, looks a hell of a lot better than the katanas do. so might go for it

Ok been offered a swap for my katanas. Done a wheel fitment check online and they should fit with spigot rings. They are 02 astra alloys. 16" the twin 5 spoke type. Not got a pic as im on my mobile. What do we think? As there smaller than the katans n being standard vauxhall wheels no doubt wont be as wide as my katanas so should mean I can lower my car without worry of opening arches. Will have to do a photoshop when i get on pc n see how they look. Would spray em black I think n would be something different.

Yup well its my b-day on the 10th so will make that my new target lol

not hit my christmas target kept meaning to go up there over the weekend and get the spoiler finished and fitted but the missus has been working nights over the weekend n iv had the kids threw the day so been unable to do anything new target...... new year lol

used all of my 2nd can on bottom of the spoiler yesterday.... might pop up there tomorrow to rub down with wet soapy 1000grit and apply some clear lacquer.
