  1. Since it's started getting frosty the front electric windows are playing up. Sometimes they work. Sometimes they don't. Both at the same time (so if 1 doesn't work, nor will the other) what could be causing this to work 1 min and not the next? Is it a relay as both cut out at same time so it can't be the motors or switches? it decided to stop working lastnight when the missus had already opened her window and i left the car an hour and then it worked, slowly (as tho battery is half dead) but the battery is fine, all other electrics work a treat
  2. Well filled up another tank (almost) reset mileage so will see what I get granny driving it with 15" steelies on. Not bought the spark plugs yet lol. Will have a look on eBay see what I can find at a good price. Hate spending £20+ on spark plugs as they don't do much different than standard ngks that you can usually get for £9. But if anyone has any links to some decent ones at a good price then feel free to post em up
  3. 205/40 the tyres are. Got my steelies back on now though. As for fuel light u reminded me to sort that as mine doesn't even come on. And I've had the fuel on the bottom marking of the gauge lol. Might get some spark plugs today as I've got a spare tenner.
  4. Yeah well I guess I'll give her a bit of a service. Surprised though it's as bad as it is as got loads of service history (has something every 6month's roundabout). But it helps me get to know the engine better. Hoping to do a conversion so don't want to spend to much on this engine. Trying to blag the missus round into getting a vtec being a good idea but she's having none of it lol. So at the min it's paint spoiler, then plans are colour code chrome bits and bump strips, paint alloys black, mesh grill, tint rear lights. Things no doubt be going slow now it's crimbo time. Got 2 cans of paint though so spoiler should be on before crimbo. Anyone know where j can get the thread for the bolts for the dc2 spoiler? As one of the threads have somehow popped into the spoiler and it rattles about don't think I'll be able to get the b****r out either unless I cut a hole on the Base but dont fancy doing that lol
  5. thinking of getting a hid conversion kit cos the headlights seem a bit dim on these hondas. been looking on ebay and noticed theres an option for h4 lights where there single beam or 2 way beam? anyone know which i need? think it means the dipped and main beam running off the same bulb or not. i know the honda bulbs are h4 but not looked if there double or single lol
  6. cant be bad at all. £250 for a car that basically straight passes mot whoop whoop indeed lol
  7. PASSED!!!!! happy days, 1st car iv owned thats passed 1st time. had 3 advisorys, one i know of which is front pads wearing thin. 2nd was nearside track rod end ball joint has slight play, and 3rd i dont class as an advisory really..... couldnt check rear seatbelt due to child seat fitted. anyways advisorys are easy enough to sort but happy its bloody passed. now i can continue to do things to it
  8. no been driving sensible to see what i could get out of it. had the odd moment where iv put foot down in 1st and 2nd then drove normal rest of gears but other than that been driving fine. see what happens tomorrow and il give it a spark plug and fuel filter change see if that helps
  9. yeah i know. gets flooded quite bad near work too. good job iv not lowered it yet lol. today iv primered the spoiler up. no pics though as was in a rush to get off. also took the alloys off and put my steelies back on for tomorrow (mot) and over winter as the grip on them 17's is just legal. the steelies have loads of thread so will be better for the snow. but noticed one of the alloys has a nice big screw going right threw the thread. was back left wheel, so wondering if this was causing the humming ish noise that was coming which i thought was the front right (only started when fitting the alloys). so idea is over the winter spray the alloys either black or gun metal grey and replace the tyres. anyways main focus is the dreded time of year tomorrow (mot). checked over all gaiters, suspension, brakes, any sly movement etc etc whilst i was changing over the wheels. all seems solid and noting is split anywhere, chassis is solid too so im confident it will pass. curious about emissions though. put £50 in fuel last week and sofar had 210 miles out of it and only looks to be a tenner of fuel left. was a fraction off a full tank so im rounding it up to roughly 300miles a full tank. not sure whats normal for these cars but im sure it should better that???? anyways next update will be mot result.........
  10. spoiler unwrapped 1st bit of sanding. feels real smooth so think il stick 1st coat of primer on tomorrow i know theres a few white bits but there dull so should be fine priming over it all. will stick a couple of coats on tomorrow and get it sanded a bit with wet paper and it will be ready for paint on friday
  11. geeez this car is lush, cracking detail on the paintwork and very suitable mods. keep it up
  12. I'll get some more pics when I give it a wash lol. And I'm just going to colour code the spoiler. Was thinking of carbon wrapping it but thought it will be better just to match it.
  13. ok lil update from this week. after searching high and low for a direct fitment backbox without any success i decided to go universal and fit that. got a 3inch rolled in chrome tip and a black painted box. i cut the existing pipe off right at the old backbox and my boss welded the universal one onto it. funny thing is i ordered it off ebay with 24hr delivery, that night my backbox decided to start blowing. luckily the universal one came the next day and when i looked where it was blowing, well it was worse than i thought, the backbox pipe had snapped right off, right at the joint to the centre pipe. anyways universal one is on all is welded up and pasted up and the box sounds nice and deep without being loud. pics.... notice the bracket come off? only pic iv got of it on the car before work this morning. car needs a clean though. also took delivery of this..... integra dc2 spoiler, but its white so i need to paint it before fitting. got 1 tin of paint will grab some more tomorrow and get it fitted next week
  14. What is the standard pipe diameter? Jus so it's easier to fit if I get a universal. Found one I like send the inlet to it is 2.25" but does come with reduces
  15. hmmm not what i was hoping for lol. so my best bet is go universal and get it welded? other than that a long wait for a 2nd hand direct fit one lol
  16. it will be your induction, i just fitted one that goes behind the bumper and that does it, if you kit accelorator hard at any rev you can hear a slight tish. but at 4k it whistles, you can hold the whistle noise but its like a biting point id say to trigger it. i had a similar induction on my old punto and that did it too, so nothing to worry about mate

  18. ok iv been searching for one for a full week now on ebay and cant seem to find a backbox that will fit. only ones im coming across are standard silencers and universal ones or ones that cost way above £150. im looking for a cheap direct fit backbox (due to funds, a used one). its to fit 1.4 16v SOHC MB2 SE. can someone tell me what other backboxs from other cars would fit direct (no welding), other hondas, MG, rover etc....... its really bugging me now looking for one. thanks P.S i did try searching on here but my computer doesnt seam to like the search function on this forum and takes ages to load anything :s
  19. Ahhh so even tho I don't have a spoiler there marked already for spoilers at the factory?
  20. Yeah I know lol. It's been much cheaper than the saxo to modify. Still thinking a nice glossy orange if I respray. The dc2 spoiler would look well if I do it that colour. Been told for me to get primer and paint for the whole car it will be £70 about inc thinners etc. Then I will be painting it. Just wondering does anyone know if there's any angel eye headlights available for mb2's? I'm still struggling to find a direct fit backbox also. All I find one ebay are standard ones or universal ones that I want to avoid.
