Doesn't the s3 have a KO4? The K03 and K03 are even worse for space lol
-
Sorry to see it's up for sale, I've gone through your examples of possible next cars and have added an opinion - mk4 Golf GTI turbo or V6 4motion (Look at a Leon Cupra as they're faster (180bhp compared to Golf's 150) , Completely boring to drive though and about 33mpg average from my old one, Engine is stupidly designed so makes working on it a nightmare - Lupo GTI (Not had one but more girly than the Yaris IMO) - Clio 182 or 197 (Had a Non Sport Clio and loved it, It wouldn't break at all, Sport is meant to be the best hot hatch for fun of it's generation) - Corolla T Sport (Avoid as mentioned unless it's a Facelift (04 onwards) plenty of grunt as with the EP3 but nowhere near as much fun, Basically a normal boring Corolla with a mad engine but not suspension to match it with - Yaris T Sport (I've been looking at one for myself after my MB3 but going 172 instead) Toyota reliabilility as standard, they don't seem to run, chain driven so no need to worry about cambelt although get it checked at 100k) I'd look into an Suzuki Ignis Sport personally as well, Great fun, Quirky styling and Recaro's as standard as well as being newer than Yaris's and still reliable Personally I'd say avoid VAG or German cars, maybe quick but designed to be typically German, reliable and built to do a job, No fun involved though

Hi yeah sorry @Krzys, I found the positive cable on the battery was able to be wobbled so I've moved it and tightened it and touch wood it's sorted although it's now drinking fuel as the rear brake piston isn't returning properly when the brakes are applied so I've lost patience with it now lol At least it's sorted the dodgy start though
-
Should drop a 1MZFE in it
-
Looks nice enough, Didn't the school pic say keep clear though
-
I'm going to give it a try, I'll get some sliders to go with it too and report back, they've got a 2 year guarantee too so if they work then they maybe the cheapest about
-
Nice one cheers, I've crossed the numbers off against each other and the ZS one has the same CA1778R part number? I'll have to wait until payday though as I've got insurance renewal this week too I'll see if my friend can get it to work free as it's the handbrake sticking not the actual caliper although I hear it's the same thing as it's part of it Typical of mine to be the expensive one though
-
Does anyone know if this would be any good please? I've scrapped the idea of selling the car and will instead try to fix it http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/370982661447?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT It says they're for the 260mm rear discs which mine is (Year 2000) and I've heard they're the same as the MG-ZS? I don't know who makes my caliper at the minute, Not got round to looking although according to Eurocarparts it should be Lucas too? Cheers
-
Cheers I shall have a look and check when I'm out tomorrow
-
I'll have a looksee, Stupid question but would the earth go from the battery to chassis or is there another one?
-
5 months tax too And he's spelt d16 wrong
-
I don't know, It's only done it twice before and just thought I'd press the pedals to try and see if it did anything and it started both times, It maybe complete coincidence, it's just weird lol
-
Nope just a normal 1.5 MB3 manual
-
Nice one Dave I'll check them when I'm next out. I'm assuming ignition switch maybe dirty as it's old or if it needs swapping is it the same as the EK do you know? Cheers
-
I'll try and find the other key then see if that helps
-
Ignition switch, where would I find it please? Why would it prevent all lights though nothing on the dash lights up, if i tap the brake it starts again though
-
Hi guys after a quick answer ideally, I've got a MB3, Usally it starts first time however I've found recently it's developed an interesting feature As I turn the key to start it there's nothing, It's as if there's a dead battery as there's no firing or anything, However if I tap the brake then try again it'll fire straight up Is there a switch / cutoff behind the brake or anything which is why it's doing it It doesn't do it everytime but has done it twice within a week now which is confusing me Cheers

Ebay is great, So are Hong Kong sellers
-
Bought a few sets of cheapo ones off the bay on previous cars, Had no issues with them First 2 are 6k Last is 8k
-
113.9 round here, I'm going to hope it stays this cheap for the new car I'm hopefully getting
-
Mine's awful but I'm sulking so it's not getting washed
-
I disagree with stretched tyres as Dave already said all it does is expose your rim (ooeerr) to kerbing which if you're after looking after your car you wouldn't want to do anyways. You can't drive as quickly with stretched tyres, there's less contact with the road so it's dangerous and if you mix it with too much camber it just makes the car look broken anyway so I'm glad to see something being done about it I don't understand the 'scene' kids who go and put 8J rims with ET0 on their MX-5 for example then complain when the either get pulled or they've ruined the handling
-
It's all good just come out with it, it makes things far more interesting
-
They go fairly cold I think yeah, I don't like cold air I like to be warm so I don't usually have them on if I can help it as long as I've got warm hands off my drivers side vent I'm ok lol
