I've tried both doesn't seem to make much odds, Oh well not a massive thing was just confused about it
-
My heaters are weird too, Outer vents warm up nicely and get hot but middle 2 are only cool air at best in the 2 above the stereo, Not sure that's normal (Sorry for hijack)
-
Just to make sure it's not the Mrs first? If not then probably as Dave said
-
It could be a few things, It could be the caliper not releasing itself after you apply the brakes? It could possibly be a wheel bearing too I'd imagine although I'm new to Civic's so I'm not sure how they're assembled Have you noticed a drop in fuel economy which could be brake related?

Don't do this, I punched my car and dented it
-
Yip I'd suggest pollen filter replacement, They're only about 6 quid from Euro car parts

If you're going to get the paintwork sorted use a rotary polisher and something like G3 or Meguiars Ultimate Compound to restore the paint I was reading about the tax above and the MB3's great compared to what I used to drive lol

Just had a read of this and must ay I'm impressed, I'm often around Portsmouth / Chichester way but I don't think I've ever seen you, If there's more of us about perhaps we could meet all up Portsdown for a burger or something? I don't think I've ever seen this car around though

Well now I'm really confused as I've made a massive knob of myself pardon the pun, I've just gone down to the car and tried to pull it of as I was sure I did last time and it wouldn't move, twisted it and it's come straight off so yep there's only 2 things to say 1 - Thanks for the replies 2 - I'm a t**t

I'd go 195-50-15's all day long and put Rainsport 3's on. I've heard that the T1-R's were discontinued although they've surfaced again so may not have been true but the RS3's are fantastic, Also they've got sharks on and at 35 quid a tyre on a 15 inch wheel it's hard to beat it anyway http://camskill.co.uk/m53b0s99p111610/Uniroyal_Tyres_Car_Uniroyal_RainSport3_Uniroyal_Rain_Sport_3_-_195_50_R15_82V_TL_Fuel_Eff_%3A_E_Wet_Grip%3A_A_NoiseClass%3A_2_Noise%3A_71dB

Hi all possibly a daft question but I think someone's been tinkering with my MB although it's completely standard. I saw a post on the FB group about the gearknobs being threaded so a simple screw on / screw off However I went to a scrappy a week or so ago and saw a MG-ZS in pretty much mint condition and saw the gearknob which I thought would be a straight swap although I've ran into 2 problems Firstly the gearknob on mine doesn't twist but pulls straight off instead and the shaft on the MG-ZS thread is a lot wider so it won't go on mine anyway even if it were threaded. Now I'm a tad confused as to what's going on and what I can do, I know you can get short shifter kits although I don't want to do that if I can help it but how difficult would it be to swap the shafts over from another MB assuming they'd be the same? Cheers and apologies if it's been covered

The attention to detail on this car is insane, I never thought I'd say this but I think Tom maybe right This really is the best MB about -
I found the RS3's to last a fair while according to my MX-5 friend lol I'm after either a set or if not then I'd possibly go Hankook's
-
Thanks Grant for the post it's appreciated Cheers for the help guys

@UnicyclingTom I've not seen all threads yet but probably would be better worded lol -
@UnicyclingTom Cheers Tom I must have missed that Cheers folks

I'm assuming 2 litres is plenty then? Is the MB covered in the Haynes manual? I think I might need one if so
-
Nice one guys cheers, I'll wait till payday then do that I suspect I've just bought some oil to give it an oil change as it is today, hopefully that'll help a bit too with general running
-
It might do at about 4k if I launch from traffic lights (Only done it twice) it but apart from that it doesn't seem to no? I don't tend to drive it that hard anyway I've normally got the Econo light on Any recommendations on gearbox oil please? I can search if you'd prefer
-
@Jayhoath83 I'll be honest I've only had the car a month and I'm new to Honda's in general so I'm not exactly confident with them let alone understand them Is G/Box oil and clutch bleeding difficult as I understand the MB uses a Hydraulic clutch or does that make no odds? I've not seen your car around Portsmouth I'm only down the road in Midhurst
-
I've noticed from his various other posts haha
-
Ah ok, Mine's the opposite, It makes the whirring as it goes in. It still seems to work ok without any huge issues apart from being stiff to get into first but if you put the clutch down, put it into 2nd to get it rolling then back into first it's fine again It doesn't do it every time only the whirring :/ Cheers for the reply though it's appreciated

Hi guys sorry for the thread bump but I thought it'd be better than a new topic I've got an MB3 on a V plate, 135k on the clock and when the clutch goes down mainly in 1st, 2nd and sometimes third there's a whirring sound as the clutch goes down as if something's still spinning, I've not noticed it before, It's not terrible yet and the clutch doesn't slip that I've noticed. Would this be the release bearing would you suspect? If so how much of a pig is it to take to a garage for them to sort it? I'd do it myself if the weather was going to be warmer but being less than mechanically minded and having no real friends to help me I don't have much in the way of choice but to chuck it at a garage Thanks in advance
