true that. been on civiclife a few times and there's hardly any activity on there anymore! only really went on for the selling side as they had more of a variety of parts

I personally think removing civic5 completely front Facebook was not a good idea. Instead of attracting more people to the forum it kind of pushed them away. Nowadays you have to be on all social media platforms to attract people to your website or forum.

This has been covered a lot before mate, and tbh yeah folk live their entire life on social media sites like fb and Co. But its those sites that were killing the forum. 

 

As said before, theyre good for just sharing a random pic or chat, but hhats about it.  Theres no structure to those sites at all meaning theyre useless for building up info like we have here. Yes you can run "groups" but thats all they are, no way of building up your project thread, no way of searching info on problems or "how to's".  All our fb group was doing was turning civic5 from a club to just another fb group, run on a for profit site.  Once fb start charging people for using it ( which they already do by selling your info) folks will doon start moaning and ditching fb! Lol
