Hopefully so, I'm in enough trouble for buying them but explained they're cheaper than a pair of tyres every 6 months. :)

Then power of persuasion :-)

Right, this has taken me some time but my wheels are finally finished.

How they started.

As you can see they were pretty scruffy and had loads of kerb rash. :(

That's how I bought them by the way, not my doing.

So I started by grinding off the worst bits and rubbing back all the rest until I had a good base to work with.

Then they were filled and rubbed down again in increasing stages of wet & dry.

Hosed down and left to dry out in the garden.

After that they were wiped down and sprayed with filler primer.

I told my mate when he came round to help with the paint correction the other week that this was the colour I was going with. His face was a picture.

After that they were rubbed down again with 1200 wet & dry and sprayed with high build white primer.

All white in the sun!

Then rubbed down again with 2000 grit and sprayed with 3 coats of silver.

And finally 3 coats of lacquer and this is what they look like today.

I have to say I'm pretty chuffed with how they've turned out considering this is the first time I've attempted a job as big as this.

And it didn't all go to plan, on Thursday when I went to move the first wheel over for the 1st coat of lacquer the wheel next to it fell over face first, once I'd finished swearing it was back out with the wet and dry, filler and silver paint.

Looks great Nick! Kudos for doing it yourself!

Cheers bud, it's quite a lot of work but the sense of achievement is great, really looking forward to getting them on next week. :D

Someone's been a busy boy today!! Top work mate they look great.

Today! Lol, if only they were done in a day, taken me about 4 weeks, snatching the odd couple of hours when I can. :)
