Krzys Posted May 5, 2015 Author Share Posted May 5, 2015 Been ages since I last posted in here, mostly because the car hasn't been used for over a year! Was out for a couple of weeks while the VTi-S was off the road with it's dead dizzy. So a few weeks ago I went to fire it up and give it a little run and the battery was completely flat this time around! Out with the jump leads onto my dads S Class but it seemed to take ages to get it to start and even then I had to leave the leads on else she'd cut out and need the leads again to eventually fire it up. Might be an issue with using a diesel to jump start a petrol? So I ordered an awesome handy bit of kit from Cyberspeed/Meister R. Much easier to deal with and less hassle of needing a second car and blocking streets/pavements with cars and leads. I was always lead to believe you do positive (donor) > positive (dead) and Negative (donor) > any metal point on the car NOT the battery to stop it discharging the dead battery further?? - Might be wrong but its how I have always done it and think its what AA/RAC recommend WHOOPS!
