burbleboy
Total pain in the ar*e. Those turbo pipe plugs are a bad idea. I chose that sump as it had decent reviews and it was baffled. If anyone is thinking about buying a Moroso sump then I strongly advise against it. OEM all the way IMO.

burbleboy
As I cant get it to seal for a 2nd time, I tried booking it into Western Honda but they gave me a date of 20th April and no sooner. So booked it into my work to get done. Only choice as I need my car and want it done right.
KiNK43
Have you put honda bond on the gasket???
burbleboy
Have you put honda bond on the gasket??? I shouldn't need to as Honda don't do that. A rubber gasket is all that is required/listed from Honda. I have ordered a fresh gasket as the old one may be squashed, even though I torqued them to the Moroso spec. As it's booked in through my work, they should know the 'trick' to fitting such a gasket properly! Don't get me wrong, a sump gasket is an easy job, but for me to spend time and £50 a pop on gaskets and car off the road each time means I HAVE to get it sorted properly by mechanics! Nothing is simple!
Krzys
I know it's not the same engine but when we replaced the sump and gasket on the Accord we put a bit of sealant on to help it along and no leaks! Was an OE sump though and not a fancy one.

That makes sense mate but I can't tell my work to try and put sealer on it (at my request) as they will turn and blame me for deviating away from Hondas recommendations. Best to leave them to try and seal it the recommended way
