Roj's 90's Rasta-spec E36 328i

So with the MB3 off the road for good I needed a new workhorse to keep the miles off the MB6. I needed something that was as spacious inside, as comfortable to sit in and most of all, as economical.

Did I mention I needed something that was 10x as fast?

And look, it does do economy too! Granted that's motorway but I never saw more than 37MPG out of the MB3 anyway. Plus I wasn't even trying to drive efficiently in the 328i. Having way too much fun overtaking everything with an Audi badge.

I went down to London to pick it up last weekend. Big up @Shafzzz for picking me up from the train station and giving me somewhere to sleep. Body is far from perfect but it was already lowered on sick 3 spoke wheels and was mechanically spot on. All I've done to it is fix some small problems, take the restrictor out of the airbox and done the "golf tee" mod (with a screw instead).

Picture spam time!

First fill up. The range showed ---.-- for the first 10 minutes of driving which basically means "put fuel in me NOW".

It's not a real BMW if it doesn't have 6 cylinders.

Haha yes! Was great having you over and going with you to get this, this car is actually next level rapid and decent on fuel for a 2.8 6pot auto. Was fun hooning with you and you got an absolute bargain! Sounds good too ;)

Edit: I should've had that freebie you got thrown in with the car off you tbh... Matches mine more :P

Nice motor!

Care to elaborate on those mods dude? Can't say I'm well versed in BMW speak

I assume you mean the "golf tee" mod? It's basically bypassing the butterfly valves in the exhaust (which are meant to keep it quieter) by blocking the tube with a golf tee or anything similar. Video shows the difference.
