  2. I'm sure that if the tyre was proper odd looking then the coppers will act. A simple tyre wall/width difference should not be on their radar. Personally, i think the cars look nice with a slight stretch, but not some of the crazy stretched tyres you see on some forums + pictures. The people driving these type of cars are mostly always into cruising and not heavy hooning, so i would imagine as there is no hard evidence that this type of thing causes mass carnage and fatalities, then it should be up to the discression of the police how to deal with each situation.

  3. Yeah but if you go to some tyre garages there was someone on here who had the issue, they could only sell the recomdend 195/55 r15 and not the 50 profile .. And yet they are perfectly safe etc .. So if their going to use that sort of data base then we're all fooked !

  5. As far as tyres go, spend more and enjoy not worrying about grip over the winter months! Uniroyal rainsport are supposed to be quite good in the wet without breaking the bank!

  6. Got full refund from Eurocar parts and then emailed Pentland Components. They emailed me quick and had a great price! I also priced one from Dingbro and they were the same with my trade discount so went with them. Its right across the road from my work so saves me petrol money than going into Edinburgh to Pentland! Intrestingly, Dingbro said Pagid used to be a good make until they sold the name rights and now any old crap is being churned out under Pagids name. He said the motorsport section is still genuine Pagid but customer components are hit or miss. That would explain all the crap calipers that can't bleed properly. He ordered a TSW caliper (which i think was original to my car) so that should be sorted once and for all. Caliper saga was getting me down, can now change calipers blindfolded Thanks @Dave for info

  12. Nah will be having a respray at the end so not too worried, I just thought it was funny, he's only just turned a year old and he isn't used to being able to go where he likes outside as never had a garden before. He knows he's not allowed up there. However he has learnt mummy can cuddle him without hurting her hips when he's up there lol!
