  2. If that's directed at me? Nope! Japfest prep has begun though, I've put petrol in! Shockingly until yesterday afternoon I was still running on the petrol that got me from Mimms to home.. shows how much I use it!

  6. Been ages since I last posted in here, mostly because the car hasn't been used for over a year! Was out for a couple of weeks while the VTi-S was off the road with it's dead dizzy. So a few weeks ago I went to fire it up and give it a little run and the battery was completely flat this time around! Out with the jump leads onto my dads S Class but it seemed to take ages to get it to start and even then I had to leave the leads on else she'd cut out and need the leads again to eventually fire it up. Might be an issue with using a diesel to jump start a petrol? So I ordered an awesome handy bit of kit from Cyberspeed/Meister R. Much easier to deal with and less hassle of needing a second car and blocking streets/pavements with cars and leads. Video below to show you how it works, not great but you get the idea.

  7. Cheers! I'm enjoying these way more than I should be. Clear even in the rain. And when it's day!

  14. Got my angel eye headlights today! As usual I fitted them before I even got onto the computer. New vs old. Also removed the indicator because who needs those on a BMW. Nice and clear! Both headlights on. The angel eye nearest to the grill doesn't totally light up but the eyelids I'll be getting will cover it anyway! S Showing how clear the DJ Auto glass is! Way better than the OEM glass. Now I'm waiting for it to be night time so I can take some better pics.

  16. Sorry random observation.. I took coilovers off to clean them up. Noticed summit Since doing shock fork mod on the aerodeck. (Generic pic not mine) You can shift the fork up another inch straight off the bat! Nice! Will raise the springs and drop the fork. Same height but more shock travel always a good thing

  17. Well mine happen in the dining room. box from the car was full of shards and the bearing feel rough as a badgers arse. So I've gone the other way round. Instead of pinching 4th gear to repair that box. I took 2nd gear from it and put that in the old box I had. IM gonna order an input shaft bearing today and a clutch. Fingers crossed it works.

  18. Right then nostril gooses. Bad day really. took gearbox off and had to leave car up on stands. gonna assess the gearbox tonight but not too hopeful so many iron filings on magnetic plug. But having said that the plug may have saved the day catching all that. So fingers crossed. Other problem is the clutch is absolutely ruined. Stage 3 20000 miles on it maybe. And it's worn past rivets and rivets are loose so the friction pads move about. Glad IM addressing problem now though. Knew it wasn't right clutch was biting so high. Oem one going back in. Old vs new. I knew bought a deck for a reason!

  20. I like to go In dry mate..standard! although I can imagine wet may help. And Probs keep the fibres at bay a lil. I didn't find it difficult to wrap just which way to go about it. And man handling a 10 meter roll. Haha didn't wanna cut so as not to waste and not leave meself short. To be honest I just wrapped it to hide the weld really but I do actually like the look now!

  24. You can adjust pedal slightly. Using nut under dash at the top of the pedal. It's obvious when you look. But you should always have free play on the pedal. Never have it making contact when no pressure applied. If your bite point is out of the ordinary then you could either have a hydraulic issue or some part of the clutch or release fork is worn.
