Thanks guys, I'm just trying to keep a small level of momentum going as it's so close to being back on it's wheels!
Inner front camber links were all set to be re-bushed, so drill out the rubber and knock out the shells
Top one is all cleaned up and poly bushed, lower one got the same treatment. All nice and shiney now
Rear end got assembled and offered up to the chassis on the near side
Looks like the rear tyres will be a close fit!
Wheels have been sat there so long they are covered in a thick layer of dust! Back brakes look tiny now on the bigger disks
Front shock and lower arm now installed on both sides ready for the hub carrier. Going to try and install the bearings and hub this week ready to refit
well the turbo project starts now.
I was planning on buying a complete car then break that and keep all the turbo bits for myself. But I'm quite impatient and then this manifold, turbo and Watergate came up local, all brand new and at a good price.
I think I'll be having a little drive down to Tegiwa on Saturday to get some more bits!
Winter tyres could also be causing your issues.
Like already mentioned by Daniel.....try swapping the front wheels with the back ones.
If you still have no joy it's time to start looking at your drive shafts.
Good luck
Its fair to say your idea is right, after all it was only started about once a week for 5 minutes, it has been better since, once or twice since this morning, I'll see how it goes once I start to run the car more frequently , always get good advice here !
The bearing comes appart of the hub. You only have to change it. Its not dificult but you will need a hydraulic press to put it on, so maybe better to do by a professional.
I cant tell you the size of the bearing but with the car model your car parts guy should not have problems to find it.
Good luck!
only just noticed this! haha
think I was talking about the vrs. but the sun has kinda worn off now. but it be staying because it's alot better on fuel and better to use as a daily.
but the civic will be getting insured too because I miss driving it!!
I've been toying with the idea of turboing it but I really can't afford to do that. so I've decided to do some other mods in the form of intake, exhaust and a remap.
I'm not planning on getting rid of the car so it could get boosted in the future who knows.
Just to say if you want coilovers, the MeisterR ZetaCRD will do the job.
it is also design for the MB chassis, and that mean you get correct range of ride height adjustment.
The rear coilovers are also design with a interchangeable bracket.
What that mean is you can use EG rear lower control arms and everything will bolt straight in, no messing about.
