  2. Yep, and be without the old girl for longer Will make things more tricky then I am... I keep questioning whether it's worth it, but to be honest I can't be bothered with starting the journey on another car, as tubs was pretty much set up how I like it, and there's been too many folk on here over the years who've moved on from an M and regretted it afterwards. I've already got the parts I need to sort her out, just need to get the work done. It's turning into more of a restoration now though than a repair.

  3. Once you cut out Ricky rust you'll have a very solid car well worth attention and spoiling.....it's great to see cars being repaired properly

  5. Well, been a while, but hopefully tomorrow is the day when tubs gets recovered to the garage to get my fuel stuff fixed - lines, filler hose, and tank replaced, and a service which will have to include some attention to the seized brakes. Once she's drivable again, it's off to the welders for a holiday to get some work done. I've found that both rear jack points are goosed, and there's a few spots underneath that need sorting, as well as a rear inner arch. I've got rear arch repair panels that need fitting, and two new front arches. Need to get my baby back sorted.

  6. This is getting more complicated, looks like it's going to be welding before fuel tank and pipes due to the fact that the tank will have to come back out for the welding anyway.
