  1. So front ends back together now. Not finished as still not got my coilovers. And my knuckles are still locked a way but least it's usable again. And should still be a big improvement with all new poly bushes. Inner and outta rack ends. Droplinks and upper arms. Spent the other day going over the car with meguires ultimate compound aswell. Try and remove all the little swirls etc. Really nice polish to be honest. Used on DA. Came up great. Nice coat of wax on after.

  2. Yeah been out for a blast. Drives a million times better already. Silent over bumps. No clunking has new rear ARB bushes and drop links on aswell. Oil cooler doing its job. 10-15 degrees cooler than before. Gonna go back to using 10w40 now I recon.

  3. Haha funny you should mention that as I gave my lad the task of waiting for the radio to change minute and pressing the clock minute button at exactly the same time when we went out for a blast earlier. Lol.

  4. Haha! know that feeling!! They must change minutes at precisely the same time or it will cause you to crash! Least that's how my ocd see's it! lol Going to do a how to guide on this too so be easy for any members to do the same

  6. Will be cool. I remember when Mike did his, and you're right, it did bring it up to date. I had to take my clock out and used the space to fit my phone holder. The clock was always going of sync with the one on my radio and my ocd couldn't cope.

  7. I've sourced the English version of the installation manual (was in the middle of translating it from Polish to English then though ah ta hell with this, there must be an English version somewhere! lol) Doesn't look to bad to wire up to be honest, pretty straight forward so going to be ordering up all the neccessary rolls of cable I'm gonna need. Going to take a while as stuff ain't arriving quick and will need to take DD off the road to do it all but will be sweet once done!

  8. I've had a look Dave. That's exactly what I need. Me and my brother were trying to make something similar with an Arduino but gave up. So glad you've put me onto this. Thanks. In fact I could have not Installed gauges. Just ran this instead. OEM look and all that

  9. I'm almost positive the UTCOMP can display tyre pressures too Alex. Have a look o their website https://www.reveltronics.com/en/ and also in their forum too, lots of info, diagrams and what sensors are available. Deffo better than that wee pissy clock we have there as standard! lol Plus the bulbs gone on DD's clock so I'm damned if I'm taking the radio etc out just to change it, might aswell go all in and fit a nice new display! Oh, and I've just got the UTCOMP-3, but there's also a UTCOMP-Pro version now which has more ports and a choice of screens

  10. I've been looking at doing something with clock aswell Dave. As stereo has a clock right below it anyway. Was thinking tyre pressure monitor. But will have a look at trip computer aswell. Good idea

  11. Decided to start 2 projects on DD while we're stuck under this lock-down. First one is I'm refurbing her Cades alloys as I really want these back on her! We're not getting snow so want to take her winter rims back off. The Cades had the polished lip, but what I've noticed with polished alloys/diamond cut alloys is that no matter how careful you are not to damage them, the lacquer never has good adhesion so eventually water/crap gets under and starts to lift it/start corroding the wheel. So, decided that I'm stripping the wheels back, getting them uber smooth then spraying the whole wheel bright silver. This will mean they are easy to fix if the paint gets chipped etc (which being my daily driver now, there's more chance of that happening!) Got one wheel done and ready to go into paint but been taking ages for the paint/other materials to arrive. Will get photos of the progress once we're fully into it. Project 2 is one that I have had on my shelf in the garage for years! I bought one of the UTCOMP displays that member Mike Photo had fitted to his MB2. It's basically the same thing as the trip computers modern cars have built in nowadays. I had originally intended to fit this into Ruby, but never got round to it. I still had the 2 spare centre consoles that I bought, so have started modding one of them to fit the display into. I've removed the crappy OEM clock, and fabricated a new plastic filler piece to go into the hole that's left. I'll then cut out a hole in this to fit the display, which will take up the entire space that the oem clock did. For an idea of what I'm doing, have a look at Mikes mb2 interior. I'm also planning to do a Double din conversion on DD too, which again is why I had bought the two spare consoles. The display itself os OLED and has miltiple configuations for displaying Clock, MPG, miles left in tank, outside temp, inside temp, speed, etc. It's a mega lot of wiring to do, absolute spaghetti of wiring but I love a challenge. Most of the pick ups will involve tapping into her ecu wiring so needing to get wiring diagrams of that. Will probably get the display unit mod done first the do the double din further down the line as both these mods will involve her spending some time off the road. Again, will get some photos of things and what I've done so far. Might even try and put together a how too for this as it may be something other members are interested in fitting to their civics to bring them right up to date.
