  1. Hi ya'll this is my "new" MB2 Civic. Just bought it two days ago, and it only got about 90.000 kilometres on it. It's still very stock aside from electric windows (that I wanna replace with Ganador mirrors). My first objective is to get new wheels/rims, like atleast 15 inch, and find the MB2 OEM spoiler (if that even exists), and if not find something else that would fit without looking too ''off''. Then I'm planning to get a shortshifter, perhaps some body work too like a lip kit (but don't know what will fit for sure... maybe anyone can help?). And as soon as it's looking clean, I want to perhaps replace d14 heads with d16 heads (maybe even turbo it afterwards), coilovers, and as last maybe wrap it or something. Cheers!

  3. Got the battery tray guard/heatshields all fitted back on. When we removed it, the bolts all sheared clean off with minimum pressure. So, had to cut of the remainder of the bolts that was sticking out with the grinder, then grind them flat. next, drilled all 4 of them out. Bought new bolts, nuts and washers then decided to clean the guard up before fitting it and getting the bends out if it so it was all nice and straight. I also painted the battery tray inside and out where I havd been with the grinder and drill so no exposed metal left to rust, sealed up nicely. Got it fitted up and then cut the bolts down so nice and short, then covered them with copper grease to protect them for future removal if needed. Copper greased all the exhaust clamp bolts too so basically finished at the back now. Will be stripping her down again when the winter comes to refurb the rear calipers and paint them, and will also be getting the grinder and drill with wire brush to clean up the subframes and get them treated and painted. Will future proof it as well as really making her tidy underneath. Also ordered up new coolant hoses so that will complete the refurb of the coolant system. They come on Tuesday so will get them fitted, then fit the new radiator while I'm waiting on the new air con radiator arriving. Once that's fitted, put the front end back together and get her booked in for MOT. Been time consuming and more work than I expected, but at least it's a job I shouldn't ever have to do again as these new parts should last a hella long time. Will look at getting her booked in for a service too and want to get the supercharger serviced too. Anyhoo, here's the pics of the finished exhaust/back end!

  4. Finally got round to trying this today as had a day off, and a bit of spare time when the clan were getting ready. Checked it before starting the engine, and the arm was down, so iabs open. Started the engine, arm up, iabs closed. Turned the engine off, but the arm stayed up... Popped the hose off, vacuum released and the arm dropped. How soon after the engine being off should the vacuum drop? Went for a spin, and felt mint at high revs again for the first time in ages, so seems to be the culprit. What would be causing the vacuum to hold? Would the pcv valve have anything to do with it?

  5. Wash day Used a 'clay bar' glove after washing it, not as good as using proper clay, but quite pleased with the job it's done... Used it years ago and decided to give it another try. Paintwork feels quite smooth now. I could do with getting some polish - the only I've got is an old t cut colour magic one, but I'm in the market for something better - what are folk using for theirs? Got quite a bit of swirls that could do with getting shot of, but I know it's had a few mops over the years so not sure how many more it could take.

  6. Yes the iabs are open until you turn the engine on and vacuum pulls them closed. What ecu are you using? Is it able to control iabs?

  7. Yeah, they're planning on something similar in the toon as well. All the more reason to keep cycling in to work.
