  1. So seen as i've pestered people to death with questions about vti's what to look out for which one is best i finally bought one yesterday and damn i love vtec especially seen as a 1.4 was the largest engine until now but my got not used to this fuel consumption haha anyway here she is all for £1000. 78k part service history cant complain really! everything works on it too!! the interior is really clean only a slight bit of wear on the drivers seat the passanger seat and rear bench still has that fuzziness effect on them as theyve hardley been used! So ive blown the internals of the back box and the fibre glass cladding (weird horse hair as me and mr brown now like to call it) flew out the rear and it grew a tail haha manage to get most of it out and it sounds a bit meatier, the odd strand still flies out though. SO MY TO DO LIST (not in any order): New wheels: (bought, will be painted so you will have to wait and see which colour) Spray Grill: Done! Lights tinted: MGZS ARB's: meister r coilovers: Tegiwa wales p**!s intake w/spark cover: Uprated Brakes: Hopefully type r steering wheel: Short shift: Nob: purchased Wind Deflectors: Painted rocker cover to match wheels: longline custom exhaust and thats it for now folks it will be a slow process as im a student bum but i will get her there!

  2. The ecu compensates for small indifferences. So I would set it as normal. I believe its 16+/-2 degrees from tdc. There are marks on the pulley at tdc, 14,16 and 18 degrees. So its all there for you. The timing mark on the cambelt cover is quite obvious. Ridge sticking out near the pulley. make sure when you adjust it put a bit of wire between the two pins of diagnostic port. You will get an engine management light on but this will stop the ecu from trying to correct advance or retard the ignition timing thus allowing you to set the base ignition timing.

  3. Cheers for all the comments guys I'm going to try and stay away from the silver and black colour scheme mainly because loads of people do it the grill will be black yes but that's about it

  5. It totally transforms the look at the front for very little money, my favourite mods, ones that cost less:) I must get round to doing the surround on mine, I've painted it black but it is stonechipped already I'm doing my mirror backs next week, and thinking about doing the 2 black trim bits on the doors, not the bump strips the metal ones, I've not seem that done to my knowledge, I might be wrong though :/
