quick look at wiki... mg zr 100 td 9.7secs to 60 mg zr 115 td 9.1secs to 60 civic 5dr 11.2 secs to 60 but it does all depend down to the driver, and if you can get the power down, and condition of the vehicle's i.e. tyre' etc

well jealous mate!! was parked next to one today, in white with black wheel's lowered and it had a bonnet scoop as well, it looked mean as hell as well

get steely's as should the worst happen, you'll be able to bend it back in to shape.

last year I decided to use Uniroyal rainsport 2's which I found quite good in the snow, and also bought some snow sock's from Halfords, didn't use the snow sock's in the snow to get me out the brown sticky stuff and where I was the Uniroyal's were more than good enough, just ask the range rover driver who i passed going up cabourne hill, but one thing i have over you is the limited slip diff, that is worth it's weight in gold... as for you in scot land, i recommend some good winter tyre's, and some snow sock's. the best way to describe driving with them on is the front wheel's are on greasy tarmac and the rear is on ice snow, so don't chuck it about as the arse will come out....

what sort of journey's are you doing with the car, as constant short journey's can cause mayo on the rad cap -
won't be going any where due to a flat tyre......

nice car there, and can only agree with the diesel issue's. as for mayrun tyres, meh, you think's that bad, I see green dragon, linglong, triangle tyre's (yeah I know) and the one that make's me giggle, double happiness, yeah..

ma9, should have a 1.5 d-series engine in it, it may just be a 1.5, or have a vtec-e in it, not sure, other member may be able to help you.

but also, I don't think they offered a 1.4 civic aerodeck for the uk market, as they most likely deemed it under powered. but the realy rare beast's are the 2.0 td version's, only made in the hatch back version from what I remember, and the engine made it in to the deck but not in the uk. right, the ma1 to 7 were non uk model's of the domain. so the ma8/9 and mb1 should of been mb1/2/3. the mb 2/3/4/5/6/7 should of been mc 1/2/3/4/5/6 (but have you noticed the extra model code to continue the continuity ) and the mb8/9 and mc 1/2/3/4, which should of been md 1/2/3/4/5/6 but what we have instead is this ma8 preface lift 5 dr hatchback 1.4 petrol ma9 preface lift 5 dr hatchback 1.5 petrol mb1 preface lift 5 dr hatchback 1.6 petrol mb2 postface lift 5dr hatchback 1.4 petrol mb3 postface lift 5dr hatchback 1.5 petrol mb4 postface lift 5dr hatchback 1.6 petrol mb5 unknown mb6 postface lift 5dr hatchback 1.8 petrol mb7 postface lift 5dr hatchback 2.0 tdi mb8 postface lift 5dr aerodeck 1.4 petrol mb9 postface lift 5dr aerodeck 1.5 petrol mc1 postface lift 5dr aerodeck 1.6 petrol mc2 postface lift 5dr aerodeck 1.8 petrol mc3 postface lift 5dr aerodeck 2.0 tdi that leave's me with 2 thing's. and one is a question.. 1 as the chassis number's falls, it mean's the best civic model, the 1.8 vti is equal to E..... and that mean's E= MC2.... 2 what was the mb5, and was there going to be a mc4......? and breath......

found some of my old mb1 (ma style) .

the MA was the pre facelift model of the car, it was only available for a few year's, and only lasted to 1996/7 when the MB was launched. the main obvious difference's between the both are front end; bumper (grill built in to bumper bonnet (as above) wing's (headlights different shape) headlight's (different shape to mb and "ek9'd" from factory) rear end; bumper rear light's (indicator Lenz's orange not clear) badge's different style of type face 3rd brake light is a bulb type, mounted at the bottom of the window inside. heated mirror's are on a separate switch, (a blank panel next to the mirror adjustment switch) i'm sure there are more, but I can't remember them all, I really should of had a photo shoot of both my mb1 (ma civic chassis code mb1 as fitted with a 1.6 engine) and the mc2 when I got it...

the deck is sporting new rubber on the front, toyo proxes T1R, and it's nice have them again, despite me saying don't like them, I thought, why don't I like them? and I couldn't answer it, so that's that. and for those intrested, the Uniroyal's were 75 quid fitted enc vat, (last year) but are damn good in low temp's, so will have these in winter again, and the toyo's (today) were 60 quid fitted enc vat. so a damn good allrounder,

when I said that they were at 4mm, and I spoke too soon, there now at 2mm, tyre shopping, love it...

fucking ridiculous, yodel/hdnl/dhl/ups, what ever there called, I find the best and most reliable postal service is royal mail, never had an issue with them but at least you've got it now, now get it fitted!!!!

towing on coilover's, it can't be any different to towing on standard suspension, just keep an eye on your rear axle weight, and also the loading of the trailer your towing, as many people I have seen have loaded the car full of holiday bit's, hooked the caravan up and chuck stuff in there with no thought to the weight there adding. the dc2 won't be suitable for towing as it's a performance sports car, not a family hatchback, look at your handbook and chassis plate, the former will give you technical detail's on the vehicle towing ability, and also the max nose weight for the tow bar, this is bloody important, as not enough nose weight on the tow bar will lift the arse of the car up and put it in to a jack knife and too much nose weight will lift the front of the car up and make it handle very badly.

mine aren't due for replacement yet, but if it come's around October again and there due, i'll be hard pressed not to get them for the autum/winter
