  1. tbh Uniroyal rs2 are a very soft tyre, ideal as a winter tyre, but not suited to summer, put mine on in October, at 150k, now on 157 and at about 4mm. I like them they grip really well but, Christ they are soft, the side wall is only 1 ply, where as most other tyre's are 2 ply.
  2. but still there is no reason why 2 tyre's inflated to the same pressure should give you 2 different reading when they have been subjected to stress and heat for the same time.
  3. I was also toying with this,, a 60 ton road train, with a 525bhp 14 litre cummin's engine, and a upright exhaust stack... did I mention the booze it is carrying.... or if that went over your head, this http://youtu.be/OT8Eh7BBqOQ
  4. best trick in the book that is, if your on your own, I find taking the track rod end off give's you that extra turn on the hub to get the shaft out, also work's on the a6 /a8 etc, but anything with a vag group engine and box, to take the shaft out, you just undo, 6 torx bolt's and the shaft will drop out...
  5. for me i'm flitting between, a couple of vehicle's, the deck, my old astra (yes an old underpowered astra, but god it was a damn good car...)
  6. at the moment, I can just squeeze 14 day's out of a tank of fuel, but when your on late's. and have empty road's to your self, it's just so damn hard not to vtec...
  7. shit, is that a K-series lump sat there that may end up under the bonnet? and wow that some serous work you are putting in to this..
  8. good call on the breakdown cover, better off having and not needing than needing and not having, always had breakdown cover due to having it with my bank account, only used it twice, both were on the last Honda aswell
  9. lol, yeah just what you need, still was that you saab on the roller's at dynodaze? made 220bhp...
  10. my ocd mot side coming out, here, but you may want to check the rotation on your front tyre's, as they look like they are on wrong....
  11. it might be worth seeing if you can adjust when the fan kick's in, different fan switch with a lower temperature setting, is there anyway of opening up the front bumper to let in more air flow?
  12. oh my god, jake, you have one hell of a car there, and the wheel's just make it look perfect and as for the lip wow, the EG's should of come with one standard
  13. it also look's like it's had a small bump on that corner, so that could of pushed the bumper bar down a little bit...
  14. your best off replacing the exhust manifold with a stainless steel version, a lot cheaper than trying to source an oem part, http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0&_nkw=honda+D-series+exhaust+manifold&_sacat=0&_from=R40
  15. I take it's and exhaust manifold is it? is the cat converter on the manifold or under the car?
  16. DO NOT GET THEM POWDER COATED AT ALL IS DANGEROUS trust me im a painter seen wheels shatter i got mine from usher engineering bud guys names steve. , that's a new one to me, I've always found that people forget to clean the paint from around where the nut tighten's up against....
  17. yes they it but they can be a git to do.
  18. New exhaust time I have this with mine, It's 1 of 2 thing's or both like mine is! 1 I found where the exhaust's first bent to take it away from the fuel tank, mine was rubbing on the heat shield there and rattling 2 the cat's heat shield mounting bolt's have rotted away and the shield is now loose so rattling away..
  19. have a look at this one as well, d16 auto with a turbo... http://www.civic5.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=141&t=794&hilit=freak
  20. IIRC they wont be able to replace a missing red key, it's a one and only key as it's the master key coded to the ECU, the only way to get another red key is to find an ECU with the red key and all of the matching lock's, you can match the ignition lock only, but you would end up with 2 different key's for the car. what I'd do it is take the ECU out and send it off to have the immobiliser taken off, and then have an aftermarket alarm/immobiliser/remote central locking system fitted..
  21. a previous owner of my car got a replacement fob from Honda, and well it was the best part of £300 just for the fob, I should say getting a lock kit from Honda would set you back over £1000 as it would require, ECU, all the lock's (4 of..), 2 black key which are coded, the red master key to code all the other's, and the fob and receiver. I dunno but I think a good lock smith's would be able to cut and code another key but it don't know...
  22. and there is me stuck at work! There is a civic5 party tonight at my house, but i'm another 2hrs down the road! Also stuck at work until 4, then dash home, grab a few bits and head south for the coming rape party! wish i could come but i will go next year.... have a good week end, i'll be playing with train's again (hard life )...
  23. yeah they seem to forget about the domani, which was launched in 1992, as the MA4/5/6/7, and then it was rehashed in to a hatchback for the european model (as honda thought a hatch would be a better seller) which was launched in 1995 and the rover 400's were launched in late 95/early 96 and the rover 400/416 auto used a honda D16Y3 engine... and one thing that make me chuckle, is "get a proper honda" yet when it come's to engine conversion's, the civic vti mb6/mc2 (which arn't proper honda's) seem's to be a popular vehicle to have the engine out of it.....
