  1. Ahh No, just saw this after ordering 4 toyo T1R's (fell for the hype im afraid) oh well as long as they were good while they lasted its ok, cheap enough aswell. just have to see how they go, gota be an improvement on the budgets i used to have. thanks all. don't get me wrong, there are better tyre's out there, but at the same time there are a hell of a lot worse, and also thinking about it, i'm comparing knackered toyo's @1.7 mm with brand new uniroyal's with 8mm of tread on them, and they were what came with the car, the car before that had michelin's energy's on it (185/60/14) over what's on it now (195/50/15) so it's a lot different... people do rate them, and they are keanly priced..
  2. the only way to do it would be to relocate the whole switch to else where, but that would need the wiring extending and you would lose the steering lock aswell..
  3. got uniroyall rain sport 2 on the front it's a really good allround tyre in dry, wet and snow. they do take time to gt used to as it has a very soft side wall... had toyo t1r's all round (still got two on the back) after all the hype people give them, i'm not fussed by them, they were too soft for my liking, (only got 8k out of them) and found them ok in the wet but not brilliant, compared to other's, good in the dry.
  4. regestered after march 2001, done on emission's regestered before march 2001, done on engine size
  5. dread to think what a b18c4 would be.... edit, done a bit of digging, honda killed the b18c4 off before march 2001, but the 1.6 se sport aerodeck is 250 quid a year to tax....
  6. bugger, your's must be one of the last built, if it's taxed on emmision's, i think it's about 180G/km, don't want to think about what a b16 would be 250G/km+... only just seen tom comment about the railway i work/play at... He plays with the real thing but smaller! have a look here, http://www.civic5.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=10427 the fun start's at the bottom of page one, the bit above it, is dark time's for me, but i'm slowly getting back on the straight and narrow....
  7. wow, this looking brilliant, all you need is davemb2's running gear out of his K26 MB2.......
  8. HNM isn't that a paint code and any way GLE incorprating RDS and HNM doens't really have a ring to it... speak to tom it's all his fault he started it...
  9. yay, how many it that now tom? 10? and no you don't have to do or say anything to join the club, your number plate is all that matter's... Something like that phil, and most are decks! it seem's odd there are that many deck's ending in GLE, yet there not consectutive number's....
  10. yay, how many it that now tom? 10? and no you don't have to do or say anything to join the club, your number plate is all that matter's...
  11. your very lucky, at least you didn't rear end a truck or anything like that, and as for you hitting it in a saxo, i shudder to think what would of been the outcome, i'm assuming your gonna break it? i know the engine is shot, but the ancinary's may help member's, the dizzy for a start, alternator, the pas and ac pump may have not been so lucky. gearbox, drive shaft's etc, looking at the pic's i can't quite believe the N/S/F wing and front bumper seem not to have any visable damage on them thats fooking unreal if they don't have damage...
  12. I'm sure he'll be along shortly. but i'm here first, on behalf of the GLE club, there is only one rule of entry, you car reg number must have GLE as the last 3 letter's, and as you have you hae automaticly qualified to join the club. as for the benifit's, well there isn't any tom may be able to help though so do you wish to join a club in a club? philgor (2nd known member of the GLE CLUB)
  13. LoL tell me about it!! Just starting to get used to them now, but god knows what will happen when I drive Ruby again!!! lol lol know the feeling, the old mb1 was an autobox drove that for 18month's with very few manual's driven inbetween, made for a intresting test drive of stoatman's aerodeck that i bought. god know what he thought of my driving one thing i did find hard was 5th gear kept trying to find another gear after a week or so of getting used to the car and a manual box again it all fell back in to place. to stoatman's, i'm sorry for grinding the gear's on the deck when i test drove it but it had been a long time since i'd driven a manual in any sort of way for a long period.... and i do still the mighty deck... and your also right, trying to find a clean vti deck is hard work and you would of ended up traveling a fair way, i did lincolnshire to cheshire..
  14. trade plate's for the win, but wow it sound's and look and goes awsome, have you had a play with anything on the road yet...
  15. can't say yes and no, it depend's on what it is, basic diesel astra is shit, so give me a mk3 with a 1.7tds in it over any of these modern dpf fitted thing's don't get me wrong their quick give good mpg but still it hasn't any soul/feel it's the same as the ek9 vs a vxr corsa, a vxr corsa will produce 180 from straight start up, where as the ek9, you've got a wake and warm the beast up an then when the car is happy it will then let you give it the bean's.. and then there is the best of the best. an amg 63 merc, one of the best sound's on this earth from a standard car..
  16. is it stable tom purse tests all action cameras at once brilliant tom look like he's enjoying him self...
  17. asbo on a car that's a new one to me....
  18. that's constructive! yeah, agree with one of the comment's but it aint the top one, and judgin by the user name, pugpug, he or she, either love's these, or as for the OP issue with it not turning over. and not firing up, my money is on the dizzy, well the ingniterin side the dizzy, at minium i'd replace that, but, tbh if the dizzy cap and rotor arm have no history or replacement, i'd get a recon/new one just to be safe, when i needed mine doing i went here http://www.ignitioncarparts.co.uk/Default.aspx i'd replace the lead's any way due to the condition their in and the park plug's as a matter of course.
  19. used to live near boston, and my insurance wasn't too bad, due to being in the country side. back in grimsby, it added £300 to my insurance. got that down though...
  20. fit the short shifter one the mid section is off, it's gonna be a hell of a lot easyier, the exhaust is in the way.... i struggled like hell to do mine with it on and i was on a ramp...
  21. hmm, torque steer, that shouldn't happen as they have equal length drive shaft's, 5mm spacer's shouldn't affect it (got them on mine) did the wheel's need any spigot ring's on them? are there any knackered ball joint's? what are the tyre's like, are they the same size, make, model? is there the abnormal wear on the tyre's? wheel's ok, no buckle's etc? brake's worn evenly said to side, the disk's look ok? if all ok swap the wheel's side to side road test and see if it pull's to the left? if not swap front to rear and road test again, if that's doesn't work, (i'm assuming you have the old wheel's you took off the car to replace to the tsw's) put the old wheel's back on and try again?
  22. oh sweet mother of jeasus, what a machine it's everything killer, wow you sir are a legend....
